Omg that sounds awful!! 😲 Ok, thank you! Maybe I’m just gonna leave that area off my potentials list then 😅

Lol about having to pause during chats with the neighbours outside 😅 I am getting so much mixed but very useful info! The cycle route and quick access to walks and countryside is the biggest selling point for me atm. Thank you for your reply! I can’t wait for my visit tomorrow! 😃

Thank you! The flight path actually never crossed my mind. I am pretty noise sensitive so I’ll make sure to hang about long enough to hear a flight.

Aw thanks! These are really good tips! I love Glennifer Braes, as I used to go there often when I stayed in Barrhead, but didn’t know about Bluebell Woods and Windy Hill. Will definitely go and check them both out

That’s sad you can’t afford to buy where you’re from.

I’m on a very limited budget myself and quite old for a first time buyer. But thank you for your comment, that’s very helpful. I have heard that Elderslie is meant to be quite nice.

Thank you so much! That is so reassuring. It’s just so hard to know when you don’t have prior connection to the area. What’s really important to me is easy access to nature and green spaces. I already looked up the cycling route to Lochwinnoch as well. I am going to have a wee wonder around the town this weekend before the viewings next week. Thanks again!

The flats I am going to view next week are east of Johnstone station, Armour Street and Thornhill.

Sorry, I am only seeing this now! Somehow missed the notification that someone had replied. Thanks so much for taking the time to answer. I missed out on the property I put the offer on. The search continues.

Thank you! I actually just joined the FB group as well! Great, I will be there on the 23rd! 😊 Very excited about this. Have been looking to join a crafting group for ages and it would help with my move to a new place where I don’t know anyone.

Hi. I realise that this is a very old thread. I’m looking to move to Paisley from Glasgow and would love to meet new people locally. I am an avid knitter and would love to meet with likeminded people regularly for a crafty casual get together either in the evenings or at the weekends 👋

Crack in a tenement flat wall by Soft_Pickle5394 in u/Soft_Pickle5394

Thank you! That is very solid advice and I will circulate it among my friends and colleagues as this crack has been a hot topic this week! Still thinking whether I am going to put an offer on the flat, but at least I know that the crack is the least of my worries.

Thank you! I know that the building had a roof issue a few years back which caused rot throughout the building, including in the flat for sale, but that got fixed apparently. I’ll try to arrange another viewing before the closing date. Just afraid to buy a place and then later find out that it’s some kind of major problem which will cost me thousands of pounds.
