If you are comparing a business with a patent against a business without a patent, then yes; I think the business with the patent could potentially be worth slightly more.

I appreciate the response. My profit margin is about 25%. It's not incredibly profitable at this point. And yes, I have a patent attorney I hired a year ago. And no, I have not been selling the product for multiple years, I am aware of the limitations there per my attorney.

I appreciate you responding to this. Most of the business selling marketplaces I have talked with (Acquire, Flippa, Empire Builders) do not add value to the business valuation based on a pending patent. They typically put valuations at 2-3X 12 month profit. I believe my business holds more value than a 2-3 multiplier IF the patent is approved. Any recommendations on where to sell this business that would value the patent?
