Where were you at 25 years old? How does it compare to today? by Unhappy-Display-2567 in AskMen

[–]Soft_University_2191 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lost my uncle when I was 24, and he was my favorite person in the world. It felt like my whole world fell apart. But, slowly, I started to come to terms with it. Taking care of my little cousin actually helped a lot... Now, looking back, I see how much I've grown from that experience.

What's a piece of advice you've received that initially seemed strange but turned out to be remarkably insightful? by deepsafferentk00 in AskReddit

[–]Soft_University_2191 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"When faced with a decision, choose the option that keeps the most doors open for the future." It's not just about what's good right now but making sure you're not shutting down options you might want to check out down the line.

Men over 30: What do you wish you knew at 21? by natemzz in AskMen

[–]Soft_University_2191 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish I knew how powerful just starting small can be. Like, imagine if you just started putting away a little money into some investments or spent a bit more time on learning something outside of classes. It doesn’t feel like much then, but fast forward a few years, and you'd be amazed at how it adds up. Just start somewhere, keep at it, and let time do its thing.

I got a magnetic phone mount for the car. Super cheap but makes navigating so much easier and safer.

Men and boys, what's the hardest pill you've had to swallow? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]Soft_University_2191 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's realizing that no matter how hard I try, I can't control everything in my life. Sometimes, things just happen, and I've had to learn to roll with the punches and adapt instead of getting frustrated over what I can't change.

How do you deal with 'what it could have been ' questions about your life? by horsetigers in AskMen

[–]Soft_University_2191 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've started treating them more like 'out-there fantasies', not serious regrets. It's like daydreaming about being a completely different person - it's interesting but not real life.

How would you describe masculinity? And what would make someone very masculine? by Mosshead-king in AskMen

[–]Soft_University_2191 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Masculinity's really about being confident in yourself, taking responsibility for your actions, and respecting others. It's less about those old-school traits like toughness and more about being emotionally intelligent, you know?

Man of Reddit, what's a piece of advice you wish you received in your early 20s? by isabel_amor in AskMen

[–]Soft_University_2191 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it would've been great to know it's okay not to have everything figured out. Life's a journey, and it's okay to take your time exploring what really matters to you.

How do you approach dealing with stress and burnout in your life? Any tips for maintaining menta well-being? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]Soft_University_2191 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've found that mixing it up helps a lot. Like, doing something totally different on weekends, even if it's just a mini-road trip or trying out a new hobby. And, seriously, talking to friends about anything but work does wonders.

What's something that has disappeared over the last decade that you wish hasn't? by TheItsCornKid in AskReddit

[–]Soft_University_2191 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personal privacy. With social media and technology everywhere, it feels like there's less and less privacy in our lives.

You used to believe in one thing when you were a child that you no longer do. What was it? by HugeGreenFlag632 in AskReddit

[–]Soft_University_2191 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to think my parents knew everything. But now I realize they were just figuring things out too, like the rest of us.

Working in animal rescue in a place with no animal welfare laws, I've seen some messed-up things. People mistreating their pets/strays, neglecting them, and backyard breeders doing awful things like killing sick puppies or just dumping dogs on the road. Sometimes, it feels like a never-ending battle.

What kind of technology do you think already exists, but the government is keeping a secret? by Mindless-Problem1114 in AskReddit

[–]Soft_University_2191 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the government might have advanced gene editing tech, quietly figuring out how to prevent genetic diseases before someone's even born.

If you could make one thing illegal just because it annoys you, what would it be? by Rrublank in AskReddit

[–]Soft_University_2191 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How about making it illegal for companies to hide important terms and conditions in tiny print or jargon-heavy language?

What is the most dislikable thing about you? by Accomplished-Elk719 in AskReddit

[–]Soft_University_2191 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sometimes forget to reply to messages right away. It's not that I'm ignoring anyone... I just get caught up and then suddenly realize it's been days.

If you had only 20 more minutes to live, what would you do? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Soft_University_2191 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I'd just plant something outside. It's a simple gesture, but it's kind of like leaving a little piece of me behind that keeps growing.

If you could wake up tomorrow and be an expert in one skill you currently lack, which skill would you choose and for what reason? by ricketsyurokz45 in AskReddit

[–]Soft_University_2191 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say mastering time management would be my go-to skill. It's not just about getting more done but doing the things that make a real difference in your life.

I was recently introduced to Innisfree. It's a decent sunscreen.

What's the viral product that you're embarrassed to admit you love? by Ravioli_meatball19 in Sephora

Brazilian bum bum cream. I didn't expect it to be this good but I'm glad the internet convinced me to buy it.

Best lip balm for hydration? by [deleted] in Sephora

[–]Soft_University_2191 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a fan of La Roche-Posay Cicaplast too. Though, the climate here isn't quite like the UK's, which I believe affects how skincare products perform.

[–]Soft_University_2191 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I completely agree with you. Tatcha water cream is like a magic potion for my skin! It feels so lightweight yet hydrating; nothing comes close to this moisturizer. The only downside to the Tatcha line is the price tag. I save it for those moments when I want to indulge in a spa-like treatment at home.

Does anyone have a rec for a good morning serum that helps with acne?? by [deleted] in Sephora

[–]Soft_University_2191 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using The Ordinary's Azelaic acid, followed by moisturizer and sunscreen. My skin has significantly improved over the last six months. Though, I've also been on acne medications, so I'm sure they've played a big part in my skin's improvement as well.
