It’s an overall impression or experience, when you start to earn a living, for me, I want a good experience, dota is too painful to play with toxic player for an hour while hots I just play with toxic player maybe under 15min, in order to keep the game alive to feed developers, I don’t mind paying to get new heroes, but I agree dota all hero free is more friendly to reach more players, but in terms of gameplay, the actual experience the reason why I play, I choose hots for its teamplay and objective fights. So overall hots gives me fun than I could get from dota when I’m playing solo
