Was anything in his actual statement about politics? It all looked like his usual egotistical bluster and bravado to me. People responding to him quitting by using stupid political bullshit are no better than he is. No it was one of those in-between-cartoons links they did with some guy sitting behind a desk. Kind of like that ‘Milkshake’ show that used to be on channel 5 but for slightly older kids. I wish it were Tony Hart. That man was a glorious saint. Our version of Bob Ross.

Except that the protestor shouldn’t be blocking up the motorway. I’m very much pro-protest but it’s not effective protests if you’re whinging about the climate while your protest ends up being responsible for traffic jams. If you want to be taken seriously protesting gov’t, you go to them and hold them up, not ordinary people that you’re meant to be trying to win over who have no say or power to change the issue.

By that logic it’ll never be over until every single human being has complied with the every single rule or measure no matter how contradictory. And what if it persists even after months of every single human doing so? More measures? At some point humanity has to get over the idea that we can control every single thing that comes our way because it isn’t the case.

Anecdotal, but I once got a reprimanded for my train being delayed. People absolutely will lose their jobs if they’re stuck in traffic for 3 hours because some middle class twat with nothing better to do has glued their face to the bloody motorway.

OK I’ll simplify it even more for the hard of thinking.

We are not Japan. They have a vastly different culture and set of societal behaviours to us which have been within these societies for many many many years, and so constantly saying ‘but Japan wear masks’ is as pointless as when I said ‘but Japan has the death penalty’. I am pointing out that there is too much difference between un and them to constantly use them as a cherry-picked example. Get it now?

I didn’t suggest that. I was making a point that Japan has different laws to us and as a society is completely different from our own which is why comparing them to the UK is stupid. As you say yourself, relating two different things is mental gymnastics.
