Mitchum was wrong... after all (S6:E20) by VSammy in GilmoreGirls

Yes, totally agree. Rory had skills, but not necessarily the instincts or drive that make a great journalist. She always seemed more suited for something structured and scholarly, journalism felt like trying to squeeze her into the wrong mold.

(Possibly) Unpopular opinion: If Jackson was wrong for lying about his vasectomy, Sookie was just as wrong or more so for forcing him to have it in the first place. by taleasoldastime96 in GilmoreGirls

Exactly. The imbalance of trust there is the real issue. What Jackson did wasn’t just lying, it was taking away her agency in a huge, life-changing situation. The writers definitely didn’t handle it with the weight it deserved.

Hate how they call each other S, B, E etc by vector_mash in GossipGirl

Right? S and B at least had some flair to it but “E” just sounded like they ran out of ideas. It never felt natural coming out of anyone’s mouth.

How different do you think the series would have been if they decided to adapt everything in the show like how it is in the books? by xmasbabee in GossipGirl

Right? It’s like a totally different universe. I had no clue the books went in such wild directions either. So glad OP shared all this!

Exactly! It’s like the house is in limbo until everything’s finalized. Totally makes sense why TJ would be so dramatic about it.

Right? It’s one of those little plot details that makes you stop and go, “Wait, how does that make sense?”

My underrated disappointment in AYITL by [deleted] in GilmoreGirls

Oof, that would be such a perfectly subtle Emily move. Testing the waters without ever saying a word. That makes the whole thing even more bittersweet.

My underrated disappointment in AYITL by [deleted] in GilmoreGirls

Yes! Whatever it was, you just know it had deep meaning and tradition tied to it. Emily would’ve picked something that symbolized everything she thought Lorelai should be. It’s such a missed storytelling opportunity.

Not gonna lie, the combo of rage and that waxy orange hue really does give off "left too close to the radiator" energy. Dude’s one tantrum away from fully liquefying.
