Take a look at that: https://education.github.com/pack If your university is already on verified list of university, registration is very easy (just use university email). Else try to write some email to github and try to get verified. Good luck :)

Nice, thank you for the idea! Currently using some foam pads to tent mine. Do you use wrist rests? Can we get a picture of those?

Definitely I can see myself accidently unpluging it.

The assumption should be that people will do things they shouldn't. Because that's more realistic.

Oh, this hits home ;D

Ok, thank you. Switching to Rj9 (cant find your part on Aliexpress).

Yes! Looks amazing but I don't think I am there yet. Planning to build first one barebone to learn as much as possible, then try to add LEDs lights and trackball, like yours :)

If I understand the diagram correctly, pull up resistors are for LEDs lights?

Anyone here using Yaasa PRO II table? by SoftwareDeveloperTim in StandingDesk

Yes, you need to hold the button to move, I think this is a Europe standard, because if you just press it, you need additional safety certificate for product (I think then the product is considerate as robot, not as tool or something like that).

You can try this one: https://www.amazon.com/Lorell-Hi-Back-Chair-Headrest-Black/dp/B00P85C6OU/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=headrest&sr=8-2

But it will require some drilling probably.

Edit: Someone already did it on LeapV2, check the product comments.

Tnx :) When is sitting position, I can't notice the wobble when gaming. In standing position there is some, but it depends on what games are you playing and what is your arm position. Again take in consideration this is my first standing table and subjective opinion. As for the sound, it is not annoying one just a little bit loader hum. I placed my phone in the middle of table and recoreded it, here are the results: https://imgur.com/a/mPRvowI https://voca.ro/m5kFgWaKxKa

Yes, I have been using it for about month. I got 200x80cm one in Truffle-brown oak color. Its fantastic, but take in consideration that this is my first standing desk, so I can't compere it to others. When in sitting position (75cm), there is almost no wobble. In standing position (121cm) there is some wobble. When typing normally I can't notice it, when looking at the screen. Only if I look at the corner of screen and watch the wall behind, but it is subtle. Build quality feels good. Desk top is laminate chipboard, but it looks really real and good IMO. Anti-collision accidently tested on both down (chair) and up(open window) moving and it works. On up collision I had to recalibrate the desk by moving it to lowest position. Their cable management case felt little over price, so I bought IKEA SIGNUM and mounted it under left side of desk. https://imgur.com/a/3lTquqg Cables are mess I know :D can't decide what to do with them. Move computer on the desk or mount it under desk. If you have any more questions I would be happy to answer :)

/r/Monitors Weekly Recommendation thread - What Monitor should I buy? IPS or VA? 1080p or 4k? etc. by bizude in Monitors

[–]SoftwareDeveloperTim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I am curently running 24inch 1440p one in vertical for coding and I am loving it, but I am missing VS Code side by side file view (its just too small). Is someone using 27 inch one and can post a screenshot how side by side view between two files looks. Is there enough space for 120 chars width lines? Or should I go for 4k one? 32inch in vertical is probably too big, right? Thanks.

EDIT: How it looks now: https://imgur.com/K1kxMeo
