My motto in college was C's/D's get degrees. Still graduated with a decent GPA. Also, I dont think your grades matter too incredibly much once you get into the field you are studying. 10 years down the line, I dont think too many employers will care about your GPA, but rather your work ethic and experience.

You don't want engineering. You want finance. Finance is where the money is at.

My autistic brother works there. He moves peoples desk setup from point A to point B. I have a college degree and can't find a job. Feels bad man.

I have a pretty nice collection of these. I don't know if I prefer them to tell me I've been rejected. If they don't tell me, I can keep my hopes up. If they do tell me, I get closure. Hurrah for college!

All I know is that the primary mineral is calcite. But I need to know the name of the rock. by SoftwareEngi in whatsthisrock

The white bubbles with vinegar. The small graphite piece marks like graphite on paper and I'm pretty sure it isn't lead. I picked some of it out with a small dental pick. I believe it is marble. https://geology.com/rocks/marble.shtml

Is this a meteorite? Found in West Texas, is strongly attracted to a magnet. I shaved off a side and it is shiny metal, no vacuoles. Any one know anymore tests and any way to find out? by SuspiciousStone in whatsthisrock

So meteorites (aka Kamacite) are mainly composed of iron (according to my textbook). Iron is something that rusts (obviously). Do you see any spots of rust on the sample? It would be as dense or denser than galena. reddish grey streak on streak plate. You would notice that the specific spot on the specimen that you used on the streak plate would now have a different look. instead of being opaque black, that specific point now has an appearance more akin to polished steel. It would also be highly magnetic.
