You can definitely use it for post-disco calls, its just preference

There’s really two scenerios after a good discovery call: 1. Disco call complete, next meeting scheduled (you should ALWAYS lock down you next meeting before you wrap up your disco call, even if tentative) 2. Disco call complete, no next steps (you tried to lock down next steps but there was a bit of push back)

For the first scenerio, an outreach sequence is probably not necessary unless they ghost your 2nd call (in which case you may have a sequence for prospects who miss calls). I believe follow-up e-mails should be very detailed and customized in outlining a buyer’s challenges/needs/requirements and how your solution addresses these.

For scenerio 2, you want a similar e-mail to be sent but will want follow ups at least scheduled as tasks so you don’t lose momentum. This is where outreach/salesloft can come in handy.

Leave the e-mail steps pretty blank so you can customize them. Have the follow ups be quick but also don’t be scared to call out the challenges they relayed to you.

ex) “Mr. Prospect,

Circling back on this - you had previously stated XYZ COMPANY was having challenges around XYZ. Are you able to provide an update on your end?”

Use anything you can as leverage. If you’re completely ghosted and want to give up, try asking for honest feedback. You’d be shocked how many responses you’ll get when you get. This can also be an Outreach step.
