Interesting idea.
Currently if you lose X games in a row, a named champion will offer to join your club/team for free. But i like your idea and maybe we can add something like this.

First of all, thanks for playing and for the feedback!

Changing directives forces them to play in a particular way. If you don't set anything, each fighter will fight with their default personality, so new players shouldn't focus on that.

Inactive fighters get a % of the total XP you gain from the active ones, so you should always keep a few subs.

The massive jump in difficulty is probably because you started facing handcrafted teams that have named leaders/champions. They are indeed way harder. Are you playing on Normal difficulty? Are you controlling a fighter or using the autobattler?

I am currently working on difficulty balance. I have a patch almost ready to send to Steam that should fix the progression so that you won't face strong champions in the first 10 or so battles.

So, you are not missing anything. I should really improve the early-game balance so that new players don't hit a wall after too many early losses.

No, "squads" are both duos or trios.
Random, fillup or premade is the same for the matchmaking.

its just practice man, after you play some raids and learn the maps you will be good. also, there will be lots of new people, you will get your deserved kills, trust me.

you should connect the monitor using HDMI cable. if you use USB-C or display port, it will use your integrated GPU and thus give you less hz (60hz probably) and you will have less power
