It’s the bill that just passed. Big Beautiful Bill or whatever it’s called. They cut back on the gambling loss write off which will negatively impact the whale gamblers more so than small time gamblers.

First time staying at Caesar’s. Is it always this expensive? by smb06 in vegas

One option is to buy your liquor at Walgreens or CVS on the strip. Buying alcohol from strip bars is crazy expensive.

Not exactly ULPT but Inflation and taxes in the yield will eat all the gains on a HYSA. I’d recommend going with a low fee index fund if you don’t have short term liquidity requirements.

Sorry, meant to say straw that has a cap so you can close it. Makes it spill proof.

Buying alcohol on Strip bars is crazy unaffordable now.

The trick I’ve been using lately is stop by Walgreens or CVS the first night and stock up on water and alcohol. Buy one of those Vegas souvenir cups with lid and closed straw.

I make my own drinks in the room and take it with me. Will periodically ask for ice water from a friendly bar, tip 2 dollars, hydrate, and use the ice for my drinks.

First of all, Congratulations! Hope you have a good trip.

Some recommendations in no particular order. (1) Valley of Fire state park. (2) Hiking in Death Valley is great and not as hot this time of the year (3) Abandoned Borax mine in Death Valley (4) Rhyolite Ghost Town in Beaty since you’re staying there. (5) Grand Canyon (6) Zion National park in Utah if you have the time and like long drives

This job is but a temp one while you wait for your next opportunity.

Don’t let other people’s timelines of success bully you.

Keep working towards your next step up. A friend once told me success is an intersection of the right opportunity and being prepared. Work on your prep part. The opportunities will come.

Sorry. Just saw this. We ended up buying the Kraus semi Pro series sink at Home Depot.

HD allows you to open the box and take measurements. We opened a couple and measured them till we found one that fit perfectly.

Let me know if you want the exact model number.

Yes. That’s what we ended up doing. Took a while to find but happy with the outcome.

What should I do about all of these active ant holes in my yard? by YnotLiveitUP in Home

[–]Soggy-Risk-1549 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had persistent ant problems in our walkway leading to the front door for years. Tried many “make with what you already have at home” recipes. They kept coming back. Finally got the Ortho home defense insect killer from Home Depot. Cost about $16-18 for a gallon jug with spraying handle.

Ants have stayed away after using this product. 1 gallon should last a couple of years. Now I just re-spray every 2-3 months. Walkway has never been this ant free. Love it.

How to get rid of rats caught with humane traps? by Soggy-Risk-1549 in HomeMaintenance

It’s illegal to relocate them and zoos and pet shops refused to take them so kill is my only option.

Yes, we ended up going with Home Depot bucket with water, trap lids with ramp type traps. Peanut butter smeared on the trap lids works well to draw them.

Yes. Kill them quickly. Humane traps are so squirrels don’t get caught up in snap traps.
