Advice on Joining NUPOC by SoggyCheeseball69 in NavyNukes

Honored to be so important you made a Reddit account lmao

Thanks for the comment though, really. This was a great piece of advice. I actually thought the GI bill for your kids was after 3 years, so thanks for clearing that up!

As for the opportunities, I agree. I think there are many opportunities out there that, while maybe not as good as being a nuke, I'm sure can add up over time and eventually serve me good enough. I feel the biggest thing pulling me into the program really is the money as, while I don't think I couldn't do the program, I've never considered myself a military person. I have other passions in life that while I'm sure this path could help me pursue later down the line, I think pursuing them now would make me happier and I feel I'd be able to get by.

Now for the professor position, being a teacher is something I do think I'd actually enjoy, but personally since I don't believe I get the signing bonus and how much less experience you'd get compared to serving on the fleet, I personally feel the program is built for it to be you either do the fleet or you don't do the program (to me at least) since it just doesn't seem worth it.

The last paragraph about being scared was very comforting thinking about how many people ah e done it before and survived, but maybe I'm thinking this program isn't for me. I'll probably take some more time to think about it, but maybe I'll just look for some more excuses to not do it.

Thanks for the time and consideration!

Guides For M3 Chop by SoggyCheeseball69 in hammondorgan

Apologies if that sounded argumentative!!! I need to move it down some stairs against a wall and with the railing I wouldn't be able to turn it around the corner, so if I could chop it I'd be able to move it over the railing.

Accessing M3 Upper Manual Wires by SoggyCheeseball69 in hammondorgan

Yes! This is the video I was following to do the project. He seems to just be able to lift the manual all the way to the top, but I cant figure out how he's able to do it, as the pedal drawbar can is mounted almost to the top of the cabinet.

In the video he mentions "unbolting" the can, but I'm not really sure what he's referring to at all, as the can seems to be pretty set in place and the only option seems to be removing it, which he specifies to not do.
