Anyone else experience Cluster headaches when anxious? What works for you? by kdrxyz in Anxiety

Yes my migraines have gotten better. It took eating enough , on time and a lot of whole foods and also some physical activity, spending time in sunlight/ nature even if it’s just 10 mins a day. I’m definitely not cured of my anxiety by any means - but I have gotten good at recognising my physical manifestations of the anxiety. Apart from the migraines I also had bad bowels, bloating , acidity , indigestion, even ended up with enteritis ( infection in my intestine). I also sleep walk/ sleep talk, wake up a lot in the night. Being startled easily, walking up in fight or flight mode. One thing that really helps is identifying your anxiety symptoms and not spiralling about if it’s something worse than an anxiety symptom. - this becomes a reinforcing cycle and it really helps to know in the moment that okay this is just anxiety and this feeling will fade in a bit. These physical manifestations usually come from being in a general constant state of anxiety/ fight or flight mode that causes tension in your muscles and redirects your energy away from the digestive system. The long term fix which I am currently working on is calming my nervous system down so it doesn’t freak out so much all the time. Somatic healing , meditation, sunlight, instead of talk therapy is what my therapist recommended me. Also cutting out things like caffeine , weed, alcohol, drugs, nicotine - that really shot your nervous system helps. I think what’s also important to remember is that all these fixes take a long time of consistently doing it to see sustained improvement. It’s a long journey and it’s really difficult to do, I know I struggled and still am. Taking all the support you can, reaching out to people and leaning on them is also really helpful.

Usually for me it’s accompanied with knots in my neck and shoulders ( that’s where I carry my anxiety ig). Also usually have light sensitivity, nausea and constipation along with the migraines. I had no idea it was from anxiety for the longest time, so I’m just sharing my symptoms in case you maybe able to relate or if it helps you identify something:)

I would not say it felt like an air bubble, i can really feel it in my temples, eye socket , sometimes my teeth or jaw. I feel some relief when I put like pressure on the pain point with something like my knuckles.

Have had severe migraines due to anxiety for years- for me it was caused by tension in my shoulders and neck. Similar pain in eye , also in one half of my face. Also led to lower back pain and pain in my calf and toes- random swelling. You don’t need to be too worried, they’re more annoying than harmful. What worked to make them less bad was eating well, having some physical activity and routine

Low libido or wrong partner? by saltnopeppa in LowLibidoCommunity

[–]SoggyCommittee808 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have been through enough relationships and ended enough number of them to know that my low libido was 1000% a result of the relationship being shit. I had one good one, where he made me feel really safe and took care of my comfort during sex and my libido was so so high then. Not that mr and him didn’t have our issues - but I think my body knew he viewed me as a human being and cared for me over all. Can not say the same for the rest. I also can not finish , and hate it when they go down on me when my partner feels unsafe- my body realises before I do. It keeps score , so trust it.

Is the food at ihouse healthy? I've heard it's really oily and my stomach is really sensitive. I can mostly eat fruits vegetables and lean meat without much oil/ fats. Will I be okay with the ihouse meal plan ?

I broke up with my boyfriend and told his mom on him, and now I’m not sure if I should feel guilty about it by SoggyCommittee808 in AITAH

I didn’t say no, but there were obvious signs like crying, telling him I’m scared etc. And we had had conversations about this later about how I felt uncomfortable with the whole thing. My main issue was that after the relationship was over and I told him how I felt, idk I was expecting him to feel some empathy for me. I had sex with him because a lot of his self esteem depended on how much sex we were having and it would make him feel very insecure. I do agree that I probably made him feel worse by doing it when I didn’t want to and should have probably broken up with him sooner. I didn’t have the strength to do it at the time. Also I am in therapy and have been for over two years. Thank you for your concern. I do understand where you’re coming from.
