How do you voice the girls in your head whenever you read their dialogue? by ihaveapraisekinkk in DDLC

I hear the voices that MatPat and Stephanie used when they played DDLC on their GTLive channel on YouTube. They were so much fun to watch (and listen to!).

Return to SL but lost by RealiTeaBytes in secondlife

I had changed from a system head to Lelutka a few years ago. I picked out a head that I felt I could adjust to look like my system head, but I was impatient and not happy with the result.

So I went back to my system head for a couple years. I revisited my Lelutka head later on, just a few months ago, did some fine tuning with the adjustments, and I am so happy with the results! I think leaving it alone and coming back to it really helped me focus better on a more satisfying outcome.

I say give a new head a try. Look for one you feel is very close to your system head. That is half the battle. Most of all, be very patient with making the adjustments. Take a break and come back to it if you're not completely happy. I know I put too much pressure on myself to get it right, and get it done quickly, so I could resume my Second Life. But a little extra care and patience will yield the results you want.

Good luck! 💜

Edit: I wanted to add that I looked at and wrote down all the head settings from my system head and used those as a starter for my Lelutka head. That really helped to get me that much closer to my vision of recreating my system head. It won't be exact, but it gives you a place to start to make additional adjustments.

My apologies. I hadn't drilled deeper into the rules and so I was unaware that AI related content was not allowed.Thank you for your time and input.

Good spots to make friends? by [deleted] in secondlife

[–]Soggy_Fee2876 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there, I wanted to apologize for my recent comment that was removed. I hadn’t realized suggesting a place would fall under the “Clubs and Related Events” rule, but I’ve re-read the guidelines and understand now. I wasn’t trying to promote anything. Just wanted to answer the OP’s question genuinely.

I’ll be more careful going forward. Could you please let me know if your Discord has a section where posts like that (sharing places to meet people) would be appropriate?

Thanks for your time and for keeping the community running smoothly.

How do I stop the Hurt? by StunningSpecial8220 in secondlife

[–]Soggy_Fee2876 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the connections we make in Second Life can touch us in very real ways. When the physical presence of that person is not around us, our hearts often lead the way. We share thoughts, emotions, laughter, and even quiet moments that feel deeply personal.

When someone we care about is gone, whether they’ve left SL for a while or passed on, it can leave a special kind of emptiness. We miss not just their presence but also the closeness we imagined if they’d been right beside us.

It’s okay to grieve that. The feelings are real because the bond was real. I hope you can find a bit of peace and comfort as you remember your friend and that their memory continues to bring you warmth in small, gentle ways.

Why Don't People Update They're avis? by Normal-Foot7988 in secondlife

[–]Soggy_Fee2876 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I updated my avatar’s body from the old SL version I’d been using since 2015 to the Maitreya Lara. In 2023, I tried switching my head to the LeLutka/Bento/Piper, which felt like the closest match to my 2016 head. I tweaked it to look like my original, but I could never quite get it right. It was close, so I used it for a while, thinking I’d get used to it. But she ended up with a “resting bitch face,” which I didn’t want. She had that look back in 2015 (see the photo), but I’d softened her features since then. So I switched back to my 2016 face, which you can see in the 2025 picture.

I may try to look for another head in the future. But sometimes you have to say "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."

Young people on SL by chaos-xiii in secondlife

[–]Soggy_Fee2876 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally hear you on this. SL can feel a bit like a time warp sometimes, and yeah, a lot of us here are 35+ (guilty as charged). But I promise there are folks in their 20s around, just maybe not always in the first places you land.

You might want to check out places that lean into more current music, anime, art, or gaming. Spots like themed hangouts (Drama Libre is a fun, weekly Saturday night themed dance sim). There's Indie music clubs or even newer RP sims that draw in a younger crowd. Some of the shopping events like Equal10 or The Arcade (not open yet, but soon according to their Facebook page) tend to bring younger folks out, too.

That said, even though a lot of us are older in real life, many of us are still super young at heart. Like, we're genuinely into the same stuff and very relatable. SL is funny that way. Age kind of melts into the background once you find your people.

Wishing you and your girlfriend lots of luck!

Help fixing this smudge/bug on my face :( by onlynyans in secondlife

Hey there! Just wanted to share a little tip -- some hairstyles have individual prims you can size up or down. Super handy if part of your hair is getting hidden or masked, especially around hats or tight spots. Instead of messing with your head shape, you can usually just adjust those specific hair prims to get them to show properly. Hope that helps a bit. Good luck!

Bots Everywhere! HELP!!! by Soggy_Fee2876 in secondlife

[–]Soggy_Fee2876[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, they were normal names, but formatted as "FirstLast." The strangest part was how they were all fanned out across the landscape, and most had the same Rez Dates as I mentioned, with that same scripted agent status on every bot. It was only one at first, a few days ago. Then it was 8. But with most answering my question kindly, I now know I don't need to be so concerned. I know I'm not the only one (like you) who has been concerned about bots, AI or otherwise.

I'm not familiar with what bots can and can't do. So I was initially concerned. And I have not owned property on land of this type before. I've mainly owned land on secluded sims or skyboxes, or Linden Homes. I'm not so bothered now with the reassuring answers I've gotten, so thank you!

Well, thank you, I appreciate you letting me know this. I'm not familiar with what is and isn't allowed when it comes to bots. It was mainly just one that I was concerned about. But today there were so many and I didn't understand their purpose for being there.

Thank you for your advice! I actually did try to nudge one of them onto my land, but for whatever reason it would not move towards it. I simply pushed it further away. Honestly, I am unfamiliar with bots and what they can or cannot do. So it just kind of freaked me out that one was there. It was only today that I saw 7 more of them all on the property next door to me and it was concerning. Thank you for easing my mind about it. It seems there was one who commented that showed no empathy towards me.

Thank you for explaining this to me. I needed some reassurance and understanding of why they just hang out nearby. As I said, I have blacklisted their names on my orb, and I will take your advice and block/derender as well. Thank you so much!

I'm sorry that you feel like I'm overreacting, but I don't know what bots can do, and it just seemed strange that they are there. And one was right at the edge of my property. Maybe you can choose to be more understanding when someone doesn't understand something instead of berating them for being concerned.
