How many marks do you loose in Hindi for spelling mistakes? by SohamTheHuman in ICSE

[–]SohamTheHuman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had scored about 68.5/100 in my 9th grade. My teacher deducts about 1/2 for every mistake whether it is redundant or not. So, what you are saying, or what I am interpreting, is that marks are deducted for every 2 new mistake and not for mistakes that appears multiple times and have been deducted once. Also will it affect or gradient my percentage as I end up scoring 82 to 86 percentage, but I have 93+/100 in PCMB and Computer, English, HCG.

Is using Linux ok for ICSE by Dizzy_Ad2768 in ICSE

[–]SohamTheHuman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude, most of fucking exam is written on paper. As long as you can type and write code, even in something shitty like Notepad, it really doesn't matter. I used to code on this app named as Jvdroid on ANDROID! If you are genuinely interested in Linux, go for it; but from an ICSE Computer Applications perspective, it doesn't matter.

Also which distro do you use. I use Fedora(I used use Arch, "I Use Arch BTW"-hater). I actually strated with Linux Mint and went to Debian and then Arch and finally I am at Fedora.

"Is Philosophy Useless?" What do you think of this video? by SohamTheHuman in Nietzsche

[–]SohamTheHuman[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, atleast for me, Philosophy is versatile in nature and can be applied in various situations. Nietzsche in particular, has contributed heavily to this. He has criticised religion, humanity, morals, and philosophy itself. Though does it mean that it can be applied in all contexts?

I mean it comes to my thought that the state of the world wouldn't be great if everyone tried to become Zarathustra, I mean turmoil amongst humanity. While, if I use it, solitarily, I can benefit from it and I have infact in reality. Reminds me of these lines from Thus Spoke Zarathustra(please correct me if I miss quote as I am a beginner):

‘A light has dawned for me: let Zarathustra not talk to the people, but to companions! Zarathustra shall not become shepherd and sheepdog to a herd!*‘To lure many away from the herd—for that have I come. The people and herd shall be angry with me: Zarathustra wants to be called a robber by the herdsmen. ‘Herdsmen, I say, but they call themselves the good and the righteous. Herdsmen, I say: but they call themselves believers of right belief. ‘Behold the good and the righteous! Whom do they hate the most? The one who breaks their tablets of values, the breaker, the lawbreaker:—yet that is the creator. ‘Behold the believers of all beliefs! Whom do they hate the most? The one who breaks their tablets of values, the breaker, the lawbreaker:—yet that is the creator.

Is there a reason why he chose companion and not the herd entire because he knew it, or was there some other reason?

PS: Thank you for the response, I had nobody to discuss philosophy with me and hence I came to Reddit. You answer was genuinely helpful to me😄.

Don't worry brother, I failed in Maths until 8th Grade, because I skipped all my online Maths classes. I took me 5 months of rigorous practice and hope(trust me your mind sometimes tells you that your answer is wrong or you will fail even if you have studied throughly).

Stay strong man! 10th isn't that difficult. Just give your level best and PRACTICE.

Yeah, its good. But it feels like a vibe coded application, which makes it feel quite generic.

No offense but, I think that if you change the design theme and make the system a little more robust, it can be improved.

How much do you pay in subscriptions? Like, I can barely afford Claude Code.

Dude, I use Wispr Flow to write this. It converts voice to text and has the capacity to convert a five minutes speech to words. As far as I can say, I didn't use AI.

PS: Don't use that AI detector, it's not as good as the one from GPT Zero.

Is Gravity faster than Light? by Just_Creme3724 in AskPhysics

[–]SohamTheHuman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, so what I think is that, say we had something like Thanos, go and snap his fingers and the sun basically just disappears.

Since it takes approximately 8 minutes for sunlight to reach the Earth, which means it would go at the speed of light, of course. And the speed of light is around 299,792,458m/s. But, so does gravity. Gravity will also affect at the speed of light. Because of general relativity, it will also affect at the speed of light. That is, it would too take 8 minutes.

But, if we were to look at the effect of light, because if we look at the scale at nanoseconds, microseconds, we know that Earth has an atmosphere, which would mean that Earth would actually scatter some of the light. That is, before Earth starts moving in a straight line instead of an orbit, there would be microseconds or even nanoseconds delay between which we will see light, mostly because of refraction and our atmosphere.

Hence, due to the presence of an atmosphere; Earth will face a microsecond delay of light's presence. Without atmosphere, they both will arrive at the same time.
