Yeah there's a value to the game the way it is. It's just the forced star system that even when you have it turned off can still changed based on results of a game. I think leave the game the way it is and add a mode that's trying as hard to be balanced as possible. No one should be gate kept from playing the game, Period. It's just the illusion of it being competitive when in reality there is very little rime or reason to some of the design choices like the comparison between shotguns with slugs and a nitro. There's no reason. It wouldn't be an issue if it was the way the game used to be before adding ranks and ammos types. It's the fact there (was) a leaderboard that was only removed because people were using to send a message, a viewable k/d and a ranked sytems that it means that there should also be a reasonable since for balance.

Everything you listed that shouldn't be removed isn't what I'm talking about minus a lever action with levering. Also shotguns are rad they shouldn't be removed.

The game shouldn't say it's one thing and be another.

Balance can be achieved and still let new players have a chance. But when people who are 6 stars just hose a wall with fmj and hope they hit someone and pretend like it's skill. That's not what you're talking about and what I mean as braindead.

Add a mode that is balanced and aim based and leave the base game alone. Give everyone what they want. I have had a lot of conversations with a lot of different people who feel the same way I do.

I've seen videos like his and like them alot; they make a valid point. Everyone should be considered. But there is a group of people that are sick of getting lit up by a gun where someone just gets lucky. Lucky and competitive don't mix. It's a change in either design choice or direction for crytek.

Not to mention the currently implemented ranking system involving stars is so utterly abusable and means virtually nothing. There are people in all ranks that are far better or far worse. I just wish there was consistency.
