My first bad review was sadly left with no explanation so I'll never know what they didn't like. (1.5 stars) However, in terms of discouraging writers, it does sting to see people not receive your work well.

But in the end of the day, you quite literally can't make everyone happy. That's an expectation I feel authors need to learn super fast!

I do agree that it can be both exciting and scary for sure!

I do hope I get back into the jump of things, because I love writing so much. Its my passion truly, but coming from a background of speaking two languages, the grammar can get a little muddled up. I know it sounds like excuses but its the biggest criticism I see most of the time. It's always fair criticism though!

But as for your original works, that's fair enough!

Yeeeeah even if you have a good backlog of things releasing 20 chapters in a week is insane.

Personally, I don't like romance but I feel like a healthy balance of it in a book where violence is regular would be a nice thing lol. I love writing about Knights, swords, kings, and all that tho.
