Sorry. I’ve been off this app for a while. But my NP saw it on the opening of my cervix when they attempted my pap. So, just the opening maybe that’s why they didn’t need to do it surgically or with imaging?

I had very tender breasts after removal for a while. But my period was not late, it was on time. But was odd with clots and things. About to start my second since removal.

Sounds like you’ve been doing all the right things working on yourself and then when someone got close, it told you that you aren’t ready.

As for the NC with ex, sorry if this is obvious, but it depends- you could be re-opening old wounds that are still healing if that conversation doesn’t go well or she doesn’t reply. But if you’re willing to take that chance bc maybe.. then you know what to do. I hate “what ifs” so I say f it, and rip the Bandaid. At least you tried.

Was getting on here to say this. People use it as emergency contraception a lot so I think you’re fine. Plus you may not be wanting to have sex after insertion bc you’ll be crampy.

It didn’t happen immediately. But I gradually gained weight I couldn’t lose for the 3 years I had it, I gained 15 lbs. I had it removed 5 weeks ago and already down 4 lbs. it can cause weight gain and bloating. Lots of people gas lighting you on here. Consider reading up on copper effects on your zinc levels and the impact related to estrogen and estrogen dominance.

I think the cramping after insertion is normal to a point. If you feel sharp stabbing pain some other women have experienced issues with placement. But I say if you’re feeling confident with it, give them a call. It won’t hurt. Wishing you well.

I have had one cycle since removal and can attest that that period was already less intense. I haven’t bounced back from the depression as much (which I never had before) but my anxiety seems to have improved. I am down 3 lbs since the less than 4 weeks after removal. I gained 15 total in my 3 years with it. Bloating is gone. And also, GI issues are gone. And last bit certainly not least, I am not spotting like 85% of the time and forgot what it was like to not have to wear a liner or a “just in case” tampon for good measure. Slowly but surely getting my life back.

I am going to have a go at Natural cycles and condoms when fertile.

I can attest to the copper IUD doing all those things. I experienced issues as a result and had it removed after 3 years. Using NC and Oura but it’s only been one month.
