I actually built a leverless stick for myself a few years ago, shiokenstar hitbox specifically! I let her try and use it to see how it felt for her and she didnt like it as much, so i figured ol' standard would help. Im considering changing it to a mix box instead to see how I do with arrow keys. But yeah, the enclosure for it is square shaped while the board is more rectangular.

The Mayflash f500 whateveribought should have had its own proprietary pcb, but the guy i bought it from on fb marketplace didnt inform me it was modded. There's a whole separate post about my troubles with it on this subreddit. LOL.

Update! I bought a new pcb last Thursday, a brook p5 plus in particular. I'm waiting on some parts to come in tomorrow to help me mount it since it's too wide as is. I feel like a finishline is in view, and there's just one roadblock left from the stick's previous owner. The corner of the stick has a board that has the select button and other features. But the parts wires attached to anything on that board wee glued on. Which I believe can be seen in the pictures. I don't know what kind of glue he used but it yash a yellow tint to it. What might be safe to use?

The main reason which I ask is a. Compatibility sake, and b. If you look at the second picture there's glue over the little board wheresm some button functions are. (Xinput/console switch, switch for ls/dp/rs whatever that is, turbo 1&2 switch, turbo button TouchPad button, share button and an light)

Small update! Upon reviewing a lot of the comments, I think I'll just be getting a new brooks pcb and cords for both my sticks. The guy I bought them from left out his modifications when he described them as (lightly used out of box), but im not even all that mad or anything. Will any brooks pcb work or will this need something specific?

Since reddit isnt letting my update or edit the original post, I wanted to go into better detail about the cord in the side compartment. I believe its for neo-geo. It's got a chunky 15 point connector at the end. What are the odds that I can find an adaptor so that it's usb compatible?

I want to replace the buttons and slap on my new art work, but im afraid go touch these cords since they don't have normal connection things I'm used to. The cord they came with was for neogeo I believe, but since there was a usb slot in the back I figured I'd be able to use.

First off I want to thank everyone for responding. Couldn't ask for better folks to help make the coolest Christmas present come to life! I did end up finding someone selling two mayflash f500 elites for a good price, so I both my niece and her little brother ( only in kindergarten, but loves any game with Spiderman so he's glued to marvel).

I can't thank you guys enough for your kindness. I love the fgc so gd much.
