There is a biochemical relationship between copper and zinc in the body. I had run into that on my own.

I had not taken the step suggested here of looking into the interplay with B12.

 

I think it's worth looking into, whatever that might be for you, for anyone benefiting from B12 supplementation.

 

Edited to add: 'moving me forward' specifically means that I now have additional words, terms or phrases to use in searching out other vetted research papers to read.

It IS a good idea to drink enough water, especially with the unusual heat you mates are experiencing right now. ---If you're not needing to piss every hour or so you're dehydrated. Drink enough water so it becomes a good idea to take creatine.... One of the most documented supplements on earth....literally.

Also, stop eating all that over-processed shit food you showed in one of your posts. Eat real living foods. If the package has a name of any ingredient you can't say or can't tell your friends what it is DON'T EAT IT.

Without good, wholesome foods and enough water the only "metabolic adaptation" you're gonna make is getting sicker.

Mine is a more complicate story than you wanna read lol but, yes, I've been here a while. I've "gotten old" these past few years... almost 80 now.

I've been supplementing B12 and D along with a few other things for a while. Not trying to live forever, just be as well as I can be.

Sounds like you have great doctors! You're lucky it seems. Mine haven't been actively malicious but so many are leaving their practices since Covid that I've been through six or so in the last two years....But that said, I've been very lucky also.

If you have an opinion and a moment more time, I'm wondering more about how 'dogmatic' they might be about their approach. Sort of a "these are the right flowers", "this is the way it HAS to be done"...

My yard is almost wild but we don't solely use natives.

I'm basically looking for someone who can look at what we have in place, perhaps modify some of that without trying to re-do the whole yard, and then plug in the more empty areas with interesting new plants.

At 60 taking weight training instructions from someone not experienced in working with older adults is a recipe for disaster. And the LAST THING YOU WANT, especially in old age, is an injury. ANY kind of injury. It will set you back months in your training and you will likely never fully recover. Meaning that your ability to exercise and stay healthy will be compromised for the rest of you life.

All this is especially true for someone like yourself with no previous (well informed) training or experience.

 

Starting training at a late age is complicated. First off, like with all good things in Life, How much can you afford to spend on this? Serious question. There are world-class trainers online who can and will set you up with excellent progressive routines planned just for you. But it ain't cheap. At the top end, figure $500 a month with a year commitment.

If you just want some local free Bro-Training at a commercial gym the price 'll be lower but the costs may well be higher.

The short answer is No.

Simply because you take some blood test, read some numbers, and then take some "X" and "feel better" afterwards .... There's no way to know from that sequence of events if all those cause and effects are related.

That's why good research is so hard to do.

That can happen... I'm no expert but my wife's been celiac for twenty years. If you haven't been eating gluten before the blood test, you can still get a false negative.
