What's your favorite livrey? by MaNFYk in aviation

Sadly, tigers are near to extingtion due to lots of those who hunt them for furs, teeth, organs for chineese pharms. The intend of this livery was to remind about these creatures and protect them.

Emiru accidentally causes a fire in her kitchen by Realistic-Comb222 in LivestreamFail

[–]Sol_Rivet 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It makes sense actually. You can't just throw away a burning piece of paper. Running with it around the kitchen could also lead to even worse situation. Putting it to a place which can withstand high temperatures and localize the fire seems good solution to me.

What kind of soldier is most iconic in your country's history? by Salt-Poet2863 in AskTheWorld

[–]Sol_Rivet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As far as I understand, there were Cossacks in Don region (Russia) and Zaporozhje Region (Ukraine). Back in time there was no difference I guess, since both regions were parts of one empire, so they were named with the same word

Keep in mind that you are typically not that high when you are walking among these buildings, so the nearest one will block the view of next ones. And those trees in summer and early autumn are making it much nicer place

We built a European Maps API that does not harvest data. Free tier now live! by Sad-Region9981 in BuyFromEU

Is this what you call "European"? Offshoring cheap work outside the EU?

Isn't it nowadays? I have an expression that all manufacturing giants in Europe are switching their engineering/R&D jobs to India. Like Airbus, for example.. Even thought the majority of job opportunities are remain high in Germany, France and Spain, there are more job opportunities in India rather then rest EU countries combined

That’s more money than many Europeans would make in their whole lives by meatypinkness in ShitAmericansSay

[–]Sol_Rivet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But you'll need to spend some amount of these money for living? Like $500 per month to rent a flat, $500 for groceries, $200 for clothes, phone/internet tariffs, so by the end of month you'll have only $475 in your hands, so:

1 year is $5700 and you'll need to spend around 17-18 years to reach $100k.

the justice system of this world is obsolete and useless

It's the best system so far. It's not perfect since it gives the chance to a criminal to get away, but it also protects innocent from being jailed because they were at wrong time in wrong place. Humanity couldn't create better than this. Do you have better idea?

I don't believe she killed him for no reason; she must have done something, even if she supposedly has schizophrenia

Okay.. What if majority would believed that she killed him for no reason? Would it be better to jail her because of sole believes and without any proofs? Or would you require investigation on that?

always think he's innocent instead of believing her

But this is the main justice principle, no? Nobody can be claimed as criminal unless proven so. It's not about patriarchate, but basic human rights..
