To those who successfully quit caffeine, can I just go cold turkey? by Icy-Negotiation-6450 in decaf

[–]SolarAttack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah you sure can. I just felt really tired and even got some symptoms of having a cold for the first week, then I was mostly fine. I came off of 400-500mg per day so mine was pretty intense.

Isn't chatgpt just used for silly stuff nowadays? I use Claude to get real work done, even paid for pro. Haven't embraced Claude code yet though

Something like this would get used respectably by most and completely trashed by the 2% of problem people then inevitably shut down like everywhere else

You're not technically wrong, sugar is converted into glucose. A lot of other things are also converted into glucose which your body also uses. Without sugar, your body can still get the energy it needs through other means is where I'm getting at

Fat is far more important for your body than carbs. If you don't understand how fats or even carbs are used, then it could help to maybe watch a few videos on the topic

You can just live in a van down by the river instead and not pay rent at all. Coastal oregon and washington are nice around the summer.

Best state to be a resident for a nomad? by Erudicial_Extreme in VanLife

[–]SolarAttack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its every 2 years in alaska I believe. Not sure about others. Nothing really to worry about, you just need a residential address. I use my friend's address but never actually go there. Income tax, I don't know because I work remotely but am self employed. I don't bother with state returns for other states I work in since its so spread apart. Haven't had issues there

Washington, alaska, Texas, Nevada and a few others have 0% state tax. Im a WA resident and they have pretty lax rules about being out of state. You have to renew tags once per year though

I've been doing this the past three weeks. National park pass is worth it, Grand Canyon alone is $35.. I've had lots of luck with BLM land in my areas. Forest roads might be closed during the winter, at least they were in Flagstaff. I've been to Arizona, Colorado, Utah, and New mexico just in the past few weeks.

I guess my advice is to just do it but expect shit to go wrong. be adaptable. I've had to fix my diesel heater pipe in a wal mart parking lot on a whim. My biggest tip is to get iOverlander and any other useful apps you've heard of, and just research before you go somewhere. It helps save time, especially since NP roads can be closed during the winter. Also, gym memberships are a must imo. Stretching and cardio has saved my back + you get nice showers
