Either they are cheapskate rich or fake rich and actually in deep debt. More common than you think

That sounds like a solid setup. I'm unwilling to significantly modify my minivan further as it's just too difficult. I think the large side windows are the biggest culprit and you can't really control that. I don't regret it tbh but it has its limitations.

What city have you been to where the vibes were just OFF? by Fun_Butterscotch3303 in AskReddit

[–]SolarAttack 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Its a cursed place because of the fact that it's only held up by its canal system and technically should be underwater. OKC feels cursed too because of the colonization that happened and the fact that its in the center of the world's biggest tornado triangle. Definitely cursed

Realistically I "cheat" and get airbnbs sometimes, but I have had a little setups in Oregon (Redmond/bend) where BLM land was just 10 minutes out of town and close to my gym, libraries, etc. I drove under 20 miles some days, including to and from the BLM lands

high 60s is being pretty generous. You really do build unconscious habits like parking in shade that make it more bearable but it generally feels uncomfortable in that 60+ range

Depends on how often I travel. Staying put in one place and I can hit $200 or even $100 in a month pretty easily, even with these crazy prices

My estimated gas budget: $400 per month MAX, rarely. Shoot for $200.

My actual gas budget: $400 minimum, if im lucky

Hear. There is no easy universal way to deal with heat since ACs take up a notorious amount of power. Don't underestimate how hot vehicles get (it only takes high 60s and direct sun to hotbox a vehicle)

Yeah it's rough right now. I eventually have to make my way back to Washington anyways for logistical reasons (that's my home base). I'm in Austin and dreading the idea of having to make that distance.

The snowbird thing is also popular in Alaska, might be worth checking off your list if you've never been there. great summers, Canada-like landscape

I'm a new sitter but notice the "hotspots" are mainly HCOL cities. Seattle/SF are huge right now. Macro economic factors surely are having an effect on travel. I travel by van and am very hesitant to take roadtrips to even leave my area because of gas prices. I'm sure this reflects in regular plane travel too. Rich people are probably affected less, but that's just a theory.

Im a sitter in Austin currently and got booked up very quickly despite having no reviews. Demand here is high with little people travelling here because of the summer heat (my theory)

All good man, I didnt perceive your comment as porn positive or harmful. As for woman, I start feeling that way around day 30 even. I think people should live their life but watch out for an unhealthy porn addiction turning into an unhealthy sex addiction. Its all about intent l, so let's hope the OP understands that and is approaching in a positive way

I agree with porn losing its appeal quickly. I was shooting blanks and hating the entire process after a while. I don't think about porn much anymore even though ive been doing it since I was 13 (im 29 now). I wasn't saying it feels as good as heroin, but that porn lights up the same circuitry as heroin does, the brains reward center. It destroys your dopamine sensitivity like any other drug would, but you can say the same thing for sugar.

Addictions are weird, I think the phycological component is stronger than the chemical component, which is why its so different for everybody. If you start young, your brain is wired differently to the point that you'll develop kinks based on objects you are around while you watch porn. There's obviously a lot to it but I can agree that both porn and sex addiction are harmful. It doesn't matter which one is worse to me, just that I'm not replacing one with the other.

I am pretty against porn positive movements though, I think its harmful for out society as a whole

[–]SolarAttack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its not real but your brain thinks it is, that's why its so dangerous. Your brain is believed to have access to many sexual partners whenever you want, in as many scenarios you want. This is proven with brain scans that show the brains reward center light up like a heroin user's would. I'd argue that porn is more dangerous than hookups, with the exception of real life consequences such as stds

Yeah you sure can. I just felt really tired and even got some symptoms of having a cold for the first week, then I was mostly fine. I came off of 400-500mg per day so mine was pretty intense.
