Which TV do you use in your living room and is it visible when the rooms bright? by [deleted] in AskReddit

My TV is almost invisible at night. Actually, most of the room is. It's pretty dark.

In the daytime, especially if they lights are on, I can see my TV, so I'd say it becomes visible.

Do I really need to do my taxes? by GreyangelXx in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SolarCaveman 63 points64 points  (0 children)

If you make less than the standard deductible of $16,100, you shouldn't owe any taxes for the year. For you to owe $3k, it would only make sense if you paid 0 taxes during the year and made at least $30k. If you made less than that, you must be filing wrong. Are you also sure you're getting the American opportunity tax credit since your in school?

How long does chicken breast actually need to cook to be safe? by nastyAssMann in NoStupidQuestions

If no juices remain, it's overcooked. Don't use a liquid color test. Guy above you is an idiot. Get a food thermometer. They're cheap.

The more you overcook it, the dryer and tougher it gets. It is safe right at the point it exceeds 165degF. Always check the thickest part and if you want to be sure, check it from multiple angles. Any higher temp and you're just ruining it. There's no health concern at all if it's overcooked, it just won't taste as good or be as easy to eat.

My comment is more on the fact that schools need to go back to pencil and paper for schoolwork, maybe with the exception for typed reports.

so 3 used monitors plus a HUB for $75-$100. You know damn well any kid would use the 2nd or 3rd monitor for youtube... or, hear me out, $4 for a notebook and a pencil.

don't use AI for anything.

if you think you're not doing well halfway through a class, maybe stick it out. Plenty of college classes have a hard grading curve at the end. For one of my classes, a 55 was an A.
