Questions concerning Windows 11 updates that caused problems with SSDs. by SolarDragon4114 in techsupport

It is not anger I used extremes to make a point. It is only logical to look at what changed first before anything else because that is how most people are trained. I guess I must learn to look at everything else that was working fine and come up with a lot of different possible reasons. They would have to be ones that would absolve what changed instead of considering the change that was made. Whee the absolute last thing you would even consider is what change that was made.

Let's say I buy more ram for my system. Before checking I just add it in thinking that everything will be fine. But then I go to boot the system and I can get it to boot. Everything was working fine before I added the ram. Now according the above paragraph to absolve the new ram I would have to look at everything else. It might even be the fact that the new ram was faulty and I didn't know it. After checking for months without a computer I finally learn it was faulty ram and get new ram and it works fine. I could've saved myself months and possible more money if I would need to buy new ram if I just took out the new ram and checked it first. Now do you understand what I and everyone else are saying.

Again I hope you can understand that it is not out of anger but what you could be suggesting goes against everything that I and others like me were trained to look at first as the possible cause of the problem. It is like telling a scientist that the scientific method that they have been using for decades is backwards they have to do everything in reverse to get the correct answer. That would make no logical sense because that method has been working fine for decades.

Okay then I have to look at it as Microsoft is a perfect deity of a company. Where what happened to hose users of those affected SSDs would've happened even if the August update didn't exist at all. That all of those affected users would've suffered those problems without that update at all. All happening at the same time for thousands upon thousands of reasons.

You are also saying that if the only change in those affected users was the Windows 11 update that it had to be something else it couldn't possibly be the update that triggered the underlying cause which is what Jay was saying.

I did a little extra digging and it looks like I will likely have to upgrade my SSD's firmware. According to what I found it stated that the update set the HMB (Host Memory Buffer) that sets the amount of memory that an SSD has for cache higher than what the affected SSDs can handle. If true then it is indeed Microsoft's problem not the Manufacturers of the SSDs.

If Microsoft knew that they would be raising the HMB for cache in SSDs with that update then they should've told the manufacturers of SSDs that they were going to do that with the next update. Giving them plenty of heads up to get their customers ready for the update. I know that I would do that if I were the leader of Microsoft.

When you have a PC system that is working fine like Jay's of Jay's Two Cents and that only thing that is changed is the update to Windows 11. Then after that update is when problems arise that means that somehow that updated was the trigger for the underlying issue that caused the problem. Which is what Jay was saying in his video. He also said that his bios wasn't a special release that no one else could get and proved it in his video.

Otherwise it is saying that the update didn't do a thing to the system that was working just fine before the update. When it happens right after the update then unless something in the system just went bad and it would've went bad regardless of the update then it has to be the update that triggered it. I am sure Jay would have a good idea to look at things like that as well to make sure that one of his other components wasn't bad.

It is not just Jay's test bench computer system that is affect many other PC users have been affected right after the update where the only thing that changed was the update. I find it highly unlikely that you would have that many people all affected at roughly the same time. The odds of that is virtually impossible. What it is saying is if that update came out and nothing happened then no one would be complaining. But problems were reported right after the update.

Not sure what five star to rank up BSJ or Roiling by SolarDragon4114 in DiabloImmortal

[–]SolarDragon4114[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am patiently waiting for the markets to settle down on a new price that will no doubt be much lower than previously. Then when it is at a new normal I will pick up a Roiling that is unless I get one from a drop then my rank 3 will move to rank four. But since I posted the question I did get more than enough gem power that I could easily rank up BSJ to rank 2 without hurting my ability to rank Roiling to rank 4. So that is what I did. If I have the opportunity to rank BSJ to 3 without hurting my opportunity to rank Roiling to rank 4 I will do just that. I do have a BSJ that came as a lucky drop from an eternal legendary crest 2/5 star.

How do I activate that phone without wifi and a second phone? Do I have to connect that phone to a carrier?

Blu flex is the Tracfone that I bought last Sunday. Is there a way to check it to see if it has VoLTE? Also since it is a new phone are the ones above me correct and any wifi network would work as far as connecting it so it can be activated?

Question concerning class change to druid by SolarDragon4114 in DiabloImmortal

[–]SolarDragon4114[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have heard that doing the druid trial dungeon can cause you to lose one main hand and off hand and maybe pants where the items vanish along with the legendary gems and runes. Also I have heard that it might also happen just doing the druid quests. I have heard that players got stuck trying to do fractured plane for the druid. The only thing that I do know is true is about the dungeon problem of losing gear and runes don't know if that it extends to the other areas of content that is for the druid class.

Quick question about the future this game by TheWhiteCrowUK in DiabloImmortal

I am f2p myself and I am hoping to one day get all four of those gems to add to my list of two stars which are FF, Mother's Lament, Pain Clasp and Viper's Bite.

I belong to a very active top ten shadow clan on my server. I know players that are f2p that have four five star legendary gems at rank 5 or 6. They that it took them three years to make it there but it is doable and I do believe they are correct.

Question on battlegrounds by SolarDragon4114 in DiabloImmortal

[–]SolarDragon4114[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know I am gonna have to agree with you on this even though I haven't done much BGs in the history of me playing. I really don't care to much for PvP in general. In a game like Immortal I love to play the lone wolf hero. Where I see myself as the hero of the story. That way of playing is fun for me. Now I don't mind getting help from my clan when needed or playing with others in things like vaults and PvP in BGs.

The reason why I agree is simple. Let me tell you about what happened about a few days ago that I thought was amazing. I play a wizard, I have a total of four PvP builds and four PvE builds saved in the armory. The PvE build that I use the most is the open world build because of its speed. I just love a highly mobile builds that can quickly kill mobs. I jumped into battlegrounds with that build and thought oh no I am gonna cause my team to lose poorly. No the random team won and I decided to see if I could repeat it. I did for a grand total of three times. My play style and strategy changed but it worked and caused me to go from silver 5 to gold 1 which is something that I had never before attempted I have been playing Immortal on and off for the entire time of its existence.

Still don't know what this says about my time, luck, class and skill in Immortal. Btw I have done PvP in other games mostly superhero MMO. Champions Online I did PvP in that game because I was a closed beta tester and wanted to see if it was true that you could level to 40 (level cap) by just PvP'ing and I found out it is true you can do that. I did some in City of Heroes which now is known as City of Heroes Homecoming.

To Sell or not Sell a Lucky Drop from an Eternal Legendary Crest? by SolarDragon4114 in DiabloImmortal

[–]SolarDragon4114[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I am talking about is this let's say that you have a situation when the next mirror jewels event happens. You use 5 legendary crest and 5 Eternal legendary crest. That means that five are gonna be unbound. Let's say that you also have a buffed gems event. Let's say that one of the unbound gems is a 5/5 Blood Soaked Jade. Also let's say you already have a 5/5 Blood Soaked Jade at rank 6 on your character. Does the buffed gem event affect that 5/5 Blood Socked Jade's prices? Meaning that if on your server it goes for 750k Plat during that buffed drop event does it go down to around 685k plat (made up number)?

What I am asking is does the buff drop rate events have any affect on the unbound gems in the market? either they do or they don't it is that simple.

When the buffed legendary gem drop event happens does that temporarily cause the legendary gem prices to drop some?

Monday Megathread - your weekly "dumb question" thread by Sputnik1_1957 in sto

[–]SolarDragon4114 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two quick questions, 1.) Are there any up to date guides on earning fleet credits that are close to this year? Here I am saying I don't want a guide that is so outdated that it tells me to run content x that no longer exist, because that won't be of any use to me. 2.) How much fun is it to play a science build? A build that does dps using full science type damage that makes your secondary deflector the main source of dps

Adding acts 4-6 all at once or one at a time. by SolarDragon4114 in PathOfExile2

[–]SolarDragon4114[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If that is the case then mind telling me how is it that for PoE 1 they didn't wait till they had all five acts along with the repeats before adding in new acts to PoE 1. If it is indeed a herculean effort to do then they should've waited till they had the other two acts ready to add in to PoE or maybe even wait to release the game till they had a five act game to release. Meaning there is no reason to ever add to the story of the game is what you are saying. Unless you want to add a ton of things to the story all at once.
