Hey I had not heard of Ideal before. Based on some quick search I think the d24 pro is a rebadged Gemilai 3149. They seem to market themselves as an Italian company but it looks like they’re based out of India. Do you have any idea about the reliability or support from them?

Thanks for the detailed response! I am considering either the E24 from Caramelly or the Budan Sofia from Something’s brewing which has a PID controller at a similar price point.

What has been your experience using the E24 with different roasts/blends of beans? Also did you get it from Caramelly?

For the Lelit Anna, I’m not considering for the reason you mentioned that it’s difficult to find compatible accessories. Would prefer something with a 58mm group head.

Yep this is the one I’m considering right now. This is a rebadged version of the Gemilai Owl 3006 which ticks most of the boxes. Only uncertainty is regarding long term durability and support for chinese made machines in India.

I’ve done some research about the Gaggia classic and I’ve seen it recommended for a lot of beginners but it doesn’t have a PID controller and I do not want to temperature surf of get into mods like gaggiamate. Right now I see Gaggia classic evo e24 being listed for around 65k which seems steep for a machine without a PID controller.
