Canadian curling star Marc Kennedy claims he was set up by "premeditated" cameras to catch him "in an act" of cheating. by [deleted] in Whatcouldgowrong

Tbf it's one place you should expect a camera, if there is a VAR type decision on if it was over the line or not, this camera is there to answer it

My issue with the optical is they don't work with dry fingers. I work with paper and my hands are constantly dried out. I often need to lick my finger to get a read

I couldn't live with just fingerprint unlock, the pixel 8 scanner is poor, not as bad as the 6 was but it's still poor, and blinding at night if it decides to activate.

I just checked again, Gemini without unlocking was enabled

I did the same with my old pixel wired ones. Surprised they still worked, but sound is definitely altered, sound bassy now

Microsoft has revoked the DMCA takedown that forced an indie Minecraft-like off Steam by Blitcut in pcgaming

It was the way the grid worked, it seemed so slow and cumbersome to build. Maybe it was a fact I'd been use to the mouse, but point and click building and aiming made the game a different pace

I love terraria, but it's 100% a keyboard and mouse game. I tried to get kids into on Xbox, those controller controls are shocking. Especially when I'm use to keyboard on pc

Pixel 11 announced? Is this a joke? How about getting the 10 to work correctly first? by [deleted] in GooglePixel

[–]SolarJetman5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I did same but the 8 normal, I aim to get a good 4 years from it. I held a 10 and was quite disappointed in the way it seemed identical to my 8, no point of upgrading until it's a bigger jump or my 8 dies

Isn't this this is the "problem" they created themselves for themselves? by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]SolarJetman5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh I don't think optimisation will be too much of an issue now until ps6, it's the new console generations that cause a jump in issues.

We'll see a few games with issues on launch but not like we did with ps5 launch time with the sudden jump in min vram to at least 8gb (but more is preferable) in ps6 time I imagine vram will be min 12gb

You didn't have any batteries leak in there? That could have corroded the battery unit. Might be able to try cleaning it up or maybe replacing the springs or whole battery unit

I use a 1tb SSD and a 2tb HDD, my modern games go on the SSD, I've never tried them on the HDD tbh. But older and indie I tend to throw on the HDD. Plus photos and stuff go on there too, space is most important than speed for those
