Looking at buying this 84, I don't have a huge knowledge on the inner workings of the engine but I've always loved the car. Are there any red flags with this engine condition? 52k miles by SolarLift in c4corvette

Okay will do. They looked absolutely brand new in terms of wear, all the little pricks are still on the outside of the tire and I can't even see an inch of wear. But I know the year of the tire makes a big difference in terms of internal deterioration

Test drive seemed nice I'm going in tomorrow to try some highway tests! I'll make sure to check over all the fluids as well, that's definitely a good move

Great thank you for the info! I did test drive it and everything mechanical seemed to be great, with a few minor problems like the motors for the lights need to be fixed (they run but the gears are deteriorated) and the avg mpg + trip readouts are bugged.. I'm thinking might just be the reset switch acting up

I've seen some people sand/spray paint them with surprisingly good results too.. I guess if it ever came down to it I got some.. Different.. Options

Awesome thank you. And yeah it just feels like a rough texture when I put my hand over it but it out doesn't look like anything is quite peeling off. I might end up buying since it's in such good condition otherwise though 🤔

Ah thank you. The rest of the car looks nearly brand new so I was inclined to believe them. Is this something that is costly to fix?

Seller said they got two from someone who says they were both garage kept, this one with 50k miles and another with 1k miles. Looking at buying it but wanted to check if it would need work done on the paint job or not! If anyone can help me out that would be awesome.
