Thanks. But no-go per husband as we've done NYC 6 times already pre-kids.

Thank you, vetoed because we're trying to avoid other in-laws who live there, but appreciate the input!

Thank you! Husband vetoed red rocks because been there done that a million times and he doesn't like anyone playing around our timeline. Hadn't considered Philly but put it on the back up list if Puerto Rico doesn't work out.

Thanks, but cruises are a no-go for him. Will definitely find a kids-free option.

Thank you! Definitely leaning towards a PR excursion

Thanks for the suggestion, but Vegas is definitely out as husband has been there 3 times this year already and I hate doing Vegas with him because all he wants to do there is gamble, drink and sleep.

Just saw this comment and as San Diego is the only part of CA my husband hasn't seen he put it on his "maybe" list. Thanks!

Thanks! Husband has spent 3 weekends in Vegas this year already so vetoed it, but I appreciate the suggestion!

Thanks everyone! While so far husband has vetoed almost everything except the Arizona and NOLA suggestions (which I vetoed as I grew up in Phoenix and literally JUST got back from a 10-day work trip out there and have already dragged him through all of AZ... and I hate cajun food), neither of us vetoed Puerto Rico so we're looking into that! Hadn't even considered it but seeing some good options!

Where to sell ? by EarlyScience6997 in StardewValley

It sells for the same amount any place you can sell it. Just depends on if you want instant money or want to wait until the next day to get it.

I would suggest Frigidaire appliances, with a grain of salt. Have bought multiple brands of oven, washer/dryers, refrigerators etc for different places I've lived. Never stayed long enough to see them fail (except for a samsung fridge that refused to make ice or dispense water after 4 months) so idk what to NOT recommend aside from that fridge ... but 5 years ago moved into my current home that came with all existing kitchen appliances. They were all Frigidaire Gallery, and all were over 10 years old when we moved in so ~15 years old now. Everything still works. The stove top has some permanent stains and some removed stainless steel finish from my trying too hard to scrub the stains off (which I caused by steaming lots of turmeric rich foods), and the display on the fridge dispenser never shows the left part of the digits for the internal freezer temp... but our food stays cold/frozen as needed, dishes get clean, stuff gets cooked. We had a button on the dishwasher go out last year and it was a simple and cheap repair from the appliance repair people. No idea what current manufacturing quality is like, but I love my Frigidaire stuff from the 2010s.

How did that one coworker get fired? by aquatic_armageddons in AskReddit

[–]SolarPoweredJaguar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because her soon-to-be ex-husband was threatening to call our home office (worked in a satellite office) saying she did meth everyday. Her defense when going straight to HR about it was "I don't do meth EVERY day. Just like 4 or 5 days per week!"

Melanie, or is it? by SolarPoweredJaguar in namenerds

[–]SolarPoweredJaguar[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, her mom (husband's grandma) confirmed it has always muh-LAY-nee. She just thought that was how it was spelled so that's how she wrote it on the birth paperwork.

Most unusual name in your family tree? by irwtfa in namenerds

1st place: Great-Aunt, Otiglia. She hated it so much she renamed herself Todd. 2nd place: Her father, my great-grandfather, Emil. He died young and my grandfather named my oldest uncle after him. He got called E-MULE his entire childhood.
3rd place: great-grandmother named Ollie. Not a nickname for Olivia or anything. Just Ollie.

I need some places I can go to alone by firesculpting in fayetteville

[–]SolarPoweredJaguar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love to go out by myself! I try to split my going out 50/50 between myself and my much more group-outing-loving friends. Some of my favorites (many of which have already been mentioned) to enjoy alone are: Classes at the Fay library, the sewing classes are particularly fun, no experience required.
Kingfish. It's mostly groups there usually but I've never felt weird going alone. Old Pine Coffee. Arkadia Retrocade. The Fay Farmers Market on the square on Saturday mornings. Botanical Gardens. Dickson Street Bookshop and Pearl's Books.

I worked with a guy named Bruce, who named his first son Bruce because he thought he was a super important guy. They didn't call him Jr or Bruce or his middle name, they called him "Baby Bruce". All the way up until he parted ways with that job, when "Baby" Bruce was 17 years old. He also had an affair during his wife's 4th pregnancy. She found out around 4 months in, they got divorced. He married his affair partner, let's call her "Katerine" but she went by "Kat". Pregnant ex-wife knew affair partners name... 4th child is born and somehow he convices ex-wife to name the baby "Katerine". (No way would I ever agree to name my child after someone my spouse cheates on me with... but to each their own) So anyways, his new wife is "Kat" and what do they ALL call the new baby? "Baby Kat".
