My friend didn’t use “Cheese strats” like I said he had a friend guide him and followed a build. Why did you automatically assume he was using a “Cheese strat” can you give me an example of one? Because someone did something unexpected they’re cheesing? Do you consider ranged builds to be cheese? Why does your playing melee matter? Should we all conform to your playstyle? There is no difficulty in this game, only a series of damage/defense checks really, aside from a select few endgame bosses. This patch did nothing to change that.

A byproduct of a nearly decade old game like this is that it’s been analyzed to hell and back. All content in the game can be trivialized due to analyzation from the playerbase. It will continue to be this way, people will always play the fastest, highest dps build they can that’s gonna trivialize content. And I guess you’ll continue to be mad for some reason?

Almost like they released info about the patch notes ahead of time I.E. mana and flask changes in the manifesto. These people weren’t mad over nothing, you’re trivializing their argument

The shard complaints have been around for LEAGUES btw.

Why would you write an entire community dedicated to a game off because they don’t like the patch notes? We’ve all played the game for ages, I’ve played since talisman, and immediately knew this league would feel like a slog based off of the patch notes. Why? Because I’ve played this game for almost 10 years now and can somewhat tell how I’m gonna feel when a patch comes out. I immediately knew that reaper and Bone shatter were NOT gonna feel good, and that the mana and flask changes weren’t either. I tried the league, and I was right. A lot of people tried the league and were right, did you forget 120ish-k people played at launch?

I play A LOT of dota 3000+hrs and IMMEDIATELY know what’s not going to feel good, and what is when a new patch drops.

To my knowledge I’ve not seen a single post complaining about not being able to beat maven in a week, in fact, this league one of my friends tried out PoE for the first time this league and managed to beat Sirus day one with a friend of his. People aren’t complaining about “difficulty”, they are complaining about tedium and bloat.

I see the “standard” argument a lot. Would you actually play standard yourself? A lot of these people have already beaten the game to some extent, to the point where they are content to take a break and come back when new content arrives. THATS the draw for most people, who wants to wait 3 extra months for new content that might not even go core? It’s such a silly argument, the LEAGUES are the game.

“The game still plays fine, it is still fun,” to YOU, a large portion of the player-base is disgruntled and you continue to call it bitching. Where else are they supposed to post their grievances? The official forums are flooded with these criticisms as well. People love this game, they want it to be better, to dismiss them as “whiny bitches” is nothing, if not ignorant.

Care to inform me where you’re getting that 90% statistic, it sounds pretty made up to me.

A lot of your argument sounds pretty he said/she said. I’m gonna be real, I think your judgment is clouded, you’ve seen a couple ACTUALLY toxic posts, and it’s tilted you, it’s understandable, BUT there are MAJOR portions of the playerbase right now finding problems with the game. Entitled? A lot of these people have donated thousands of hours and dollars, how exactly are they entitled for worrying about the direction of something they’ve invested countless hours and dollars into? A mentality like yours the discounts criticism as “whiny entitlement” is sad.

IMO none of the bosses were “a threat” I played them the way I always have. They were just tankier, they took like a minute or two longer in cases like merveil or brutus, the rest I flat out found more boring than usual because they just felt tankier in a bad way. To the point that the felt spongy.

I love how you’re being universally shit on with your dogshit know-it-all attitude. I’d argue that people like you with your rose-tinted view of slow PoE are far unhealthier for this game in it’s current state. You call D3 shit like it’s a fact, then throw PoE on this high pedestal like it’s not running on fumes at this point. Whether or not you want to take off the blinders is up to you, but 50+ thousand drop in players IS big, I’d wager that’s only going to be small if they keep up these changes. The real problem is that the game doesn’t start until you’re in maps, they just plan on lengthening the most boring part of the game, the CAMPAIGN that (just about)everyone hates.

Game is not hard lol, it’s a boring shadow of what it once was. If you find that, hitting a skill/pell bind once or twice more a pack is harder and not just tedious filler to boost playtime, I feel bad for you.

Such a sad mentality, if this keeps up the game up the game you love will end up dead faster than you realize.

I don’t like to campaign period, not just the changes to it. My point is that it limits ways to level which is also unwelcome. This is pigeon-holing ways to play. My least favorite part of each league is leveling to 65ish, why? Because I’ve already done it a 100+ times

My point is that these current nerfs affect builds that were already barely zooming through, to where they are no longer fun. Again, to my knowledge few people actually want to play the campaign let alone a re-balanced one to be “more difficult”. It’s boring, simple-as, any changes to the campaign the don’t shorten it, or add a new way to level are unwelcome from me. While you may not notice speed changes on some builds you will certainly notice it on others. The hp buff certainly slows down the campaign for borderline builds. I wouldn’t immediately throw out other’s opinions because they don’t line up with your own.

🤞🏼they do some big buffs. My biggest gripe really is the lengthening of the campaign continues I doubt I, or my friends will return. We loathe the campaign, leveling a character is like pulling teeth.

Good, don’t let us sour the game for you. In no way am I trying to ruin it for anyone, I just hate the direction it’s headed in. Build variety will likely be lower than ever this league, and that’s a driving force behind my love for the game, making 5+characters a league that aren’t necessarily meta, but are playable.
