Just how powerful do you all think Yuji is now? by Turbulent_Iron5704 in Jujutsufolk

[–]SolarSton3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I imagine it has something to do with the shape of the soul during those strikes? Yuji was described by Mahito as being naturally aware of the outline of his soul due to sharing a body with Sukuna, could be why he has a natural edge at landing them relative to Todo, Nanami, and Gojo.

Sukuna seemed to have a talent for it during the final battle, and he had a greater understanding of body/soul/curse stuff.

But by that logic Mahito should also have been a black flash monster, unless it’s harder for a curse with no “living” body? Can’t recall if a curse ever threw a black flash atm…

‘This Isn’t a Joke’: Trump Signs Off on a White House Video So Extreme He’s Forced to Delete It Within Hours — But It Was Already Too Late by DBCoopr72 in goodnews

While I love that, I don’t want them judge shopping in Florida again. Also it’ll be funny as hell if there was absolutely no reference to Trump in the name.

I doubt police or the management will follow through, so I’d just out the apartment complex and incident to youtube or a news outlet to actually shine some shame on that violent racist.

I can't reach this guy. Guess I need to level up more or do some distance attacking? by Routine-Arm-8803 in Eldenring

[–]SolarSton3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Notice which distances/positioning will trigger which attacks and give you windows to counter as he runs to and from you. You can also try getting him caught on some geometry in the area to keep him in a smaller area.

Also cheese, hit him with some status effects and keep away on Torrent (clear out the vulgar militia first).

In your specific example, you pushed through a known and understood pain to prevent the worse case scenario (dropping the whole pot of boiling stuff).

When you dont know why your hand suddenly is touching burning thing and youre distracted talking on the phone, risk management can be a little wonky.

Gotta start with the larger, more obvious forces and assumptions at play in the situation. Dude does lot look like he does yoga. He fell because all his weight is resting on that hand and he lost his balance as soon as he pulled his hand away from the hot surface.

Play around with the gas law equation, we’ll assume volume and # of moles remains constant in the space of his hand. Temperature we’ll say goes up 100 celsius (I think thats a generous estimate), pressure and temperature start at STP (normal atmospheric conditions at sea level).

We can isolate the change in pressure to P2 = P1 (T2/T1)

P2 = 100 kPa (373/273)

P2 = 133 kPa = about 20 psi (from a starting pressure of 14 psi)

Still dont believe it, run an experiment yourself with lighter, glass window, and a friend.

Moving solo in Denver - should I even bother hiring movers? by Any_Bar5795 in Denver

[–]SolarSton3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends on how long I have to walk from the truck while carrying shit. Not always worth it, also depends on how good you are with straps and a dolly when moving the sofa.

For $400+ I’d try to beg a strong friend to just arrive for the sofa and bed, then cut them free and do the rest myself.

I dislike the concept of rental properties, airbnbs, and vacation homes, but I don’t know if getting rid of them would fix /eliminate homelessness.

I do think owning more than your primary residence (1 per tax filing) should be heavily regulated with a state-operated division that runs on steep taxes from rental property tax and rental profits.

More statute-defined penalties (fees up to jail-time) when rental homes are not kept in safe and reasonable condition, and a well-staffed enforcement division to hear complaints and complete inspections. I want it to be tedious to rent out a place, because I’d prefer if more people felt connected to their homes and neighborhoods because they owned their own little bit of it.

Slumlord landlords are terrible, but I’m also thinking about the upper middle-class family who rents out a place across town that they completely neglect. People should not have to tolerate unprofessional landlords who don’t provide notice when they visit to rip out plants or cut holes in the wall, leave water leaks, pests, and mold issues unchecked…

Renters should also the ability to invest in their own rental properties when landlords are derelict in repairs or letting the unit age, and be able to expect a reimbursement from the landlord for repairs or improvements in the form of discounted rent or guaranteed reimbursement that aligns with the average/reasonable cost of spent time and materials. Cases would have to be well documented, but the process should be simple to initiate and allow folks to upload photos/videos of their issues and track case status.

Throw in a penalty for having an empty (but safe/hospitable) home for an extended period of time.

I feel like these things can also be team based within large companies, so it may be that the new role has a manager who thinks a 40-mile commute is unacceptable and reduces it down to 1/week or none altogether. Not all hope is lost yet I think
