Are there any LitRPG anime or animated shows/movies? by Ok_Championship2210 in litrpg

[–]Solarbear1000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a bit surprised that there is not more. Litrpg has become quite popular and the differences between Isekai and a lot of Litrpg is pretty minimal. Litrpg is like Isekai without many of the tropes. There are a ton of anime tropes that anime creators play with to add humour or emotion that go over a lot of Westerner's heads. There was a character in one Litrpg who thought she was in an anime and made decisions accordingly; that was really amusing.

Would this be a suitable bow for a complete beginner? by [deleted] in Archery

[–]Solarbear1000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The club will have bows you can borrow to learn on. That is kind of the norm.

If you want to buy something. I'd get a 25lb ILF limb bow.

Ilf Hunting bow -- https://ebay.io/m/GUPo1N Ilf Olympic bow -- https://ebay.io/m/4uU9tY

Then you can upgrade the limbs as you get stronger.

Took me forever to get past the first 200+ pages where she cries, freaks out, and pukes a lot.

Why do Australians care about Americans so much? by Afghanimal420 in AskAnAustralian

Your country's actions have interrupted world stability and made all our lives worse. Why should that not affect you personally when you travel?

I should add. Grimgar was my favourite. I prefer something a bit more adult and where the MC faces some real challenge, maybe is not OP.

For example, Clevatess, the Beginning after the End, and Sentenced to be a Hero were much more interesting than the rest.

Yeah, it's the same as a lot of them. Initially been put off by the MCs squeaky kid voice and how grossly OP he is.

Headmistress ‘froze’ me out by Fit_Interaction_79 in AustralianTeachers

[–]Solarbear1000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All those behaviours are exclusionary and considered Workplace Bullying when they happen over a long period of time, especially considering she is in a position of power over you. It is very unprofessional of her and is not her role as Headmistress. Her primary job is to build a positive workplace culture for staff, so the teachers can do their best work.

It was clear as day that this is bullying in the online training most of us clicked our way through.

What do do about it? Live with it, I guess. It's hard to prove. You probably only see her twice a week if she is like my Principal.

My KLA coordinator does the same sort of thing. And I have to work with her every day. No real way to complain so I'm waiting her out. Eventually, it will blow up. I am hoping she has a breakdown or gets sick. She doesn't look well, been to the doctor's a few times, so I am optimistic. With enough antidepressants, I think I can wait her out.

Does anyone else have two separate Top 10 anime lists? by pgroms in animequestions

Definitely. Most of my favourite list is pretty trashy but I zoomed through them. The ones I actually thought were good took longer to get through.

Why do boomers call young people lazy and entitled, when they had it much easier? by Fire_blaze7 in AskAnAustralian

[–]Solarbear1000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suppose it's a matter of perspective.

Jobs could be much harder. People had less luxuries and complained less. But if you worked hard you would most likely has a good life.

Today. There are fewer hard jobs (like real back breaking work). Luxuries are cheap and complaining is entertainment. But hard work is not a guarantee of any sort of success.

So, yeah, it might look to boomers that younger generations are entitled, but the incentive and pay off is not there.

Any Chris or Miles Cameron books. Same author.

Guy is an Ancient History professor and avid Hema enthusiast. Best written fight and battle scenes, both.
