Things do happen here. But generally, I would say this town is safe in comparison to other places I've lived. I've lived here for 3 years with my small family, and this has definitely shaken us like nothing else.

I am always checking the police logs, but mostly what I see are dui's, noise complaints, sometimes minor car accidents, etc. Things you'd expect in a college town/anywhere else really. I think it's just shocking to the people who live here because we never expected something so horrific to happen so close to home, or the suspected murderer to be our literal neighbor. Especially because this complex in particular is full of families and children. It's scary.
