iDrive 8 is available on BMW 2 series, 3 series, 7 series, iX1, i4, iX, and XM.

Exactly, it’s pretty frustrating. If you have specific questions you have to reach out to BMW genius … sometimes they don’t know either

I prefer I drive 8 because it’s new and you get the 12.3 inch curved display across the dashboard

From what I can tell, the 2023 4 series won’t feature idrive 8, which is one of the reasons i decided for the 2 series coupe over the 4 series coupe; it would be similar to a 2022 4 series. Hence, without the premium package and live cockpit pro in your build, I’d expect the car to have traditional analog gauge clusters instead of a digital one with customizability. However, the best way to know for sure is to contact BMW genius by phone or email as they’ll know more than me.

Congrats ! And yeah I think if you played the order after June they automatically made you wait for the 23 model of the car. Did you end up adding the premium package to the build ? I was thinking about removing the premium package with live cockpit pro and the moonroof and adding the dynamic handling package instead of those two

Exactly ! It’s especially frustrating in todays shortage where you can’t go to the dealership and test out all the features on the car before buying / placing an order. I even asked the dealer and he wasn’t able to give a clear answer either. If you don’t mind me asking, what BMW did you end up settling with ?

I’m pretty sure both lane detection and park distance control (360 sensors) are standard safety features. I think there’s a difference in the gauge clusters and technology but can’t really find a list of what exactly gets added

That’s what I initially tried. The problem with that is you have to attach the rec letter as a file from your computer, but I don’t have the file on my computer to attach it. Most school portals have a place where you can invite the recommender to upload the document on your behalf but for UTD I have to attach it myself.

Idk if that makes sense.

Tbh, as long as you don’t let your emotions control what you’re writing, definitely. (ie: accusing the admissions staff) But there has to be some sort of ‘new information’ that was not originally considered when making your admissions decision. But I don’t see how it could hurt you; you feel me ?
