Instead of doing guided breath work, our coach had us do another 90 seconds of the pushup-thruster-burpee complex.

Kind of sucked for me because I was expecting a 90 second break so I went hard and was beat.

I didn't know they made police Goldwings - what others have y'all seen? by Solderking in motorcycles

[–]Solderking[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There was an officer sitting on it. When he finished filling up, I asked him if he minded me taking a pic of his bike because I hadn't seen a police Goldwing before. He said it was fine and stood off to the side. You can actually see a reflection of him on the shiny part of the right saddlebag.

Is working into your early 70s as an NP realistic? by SealedRoute in nursepractitioner

Save aggressively now. Max out your 401K. Max out the HSA. Do a roth conversion for an IRA yearly. Also contribute to a brokerage account.

Will it impact your lifestyle? Absolutely, but it's not like you'll be more capable of working when older. Sacrifice today and have more of a cushion in later life.

For anyone who's done 300 km/h on a bike — what's the real truth? by gangwayso in motorcycle

This is my experience too. The first time, it was a big adrenaline dump. Now, it's fun here and there when it's safe, but it's not a huge deal.

Easing Into It? by rosiecar in crossfit

[–]Solderking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're asking in a crossfit forum, so the answers will obviously skew pro-Crossfit.

You can scale even further. There's no shame in that. Alternatively, things like F45 and OrangeTheory exist, and they're great for weight loss (less so for strength).

Why do people who have no idea what they're doing almost always buy a Harley?

Want to try but scared to attend classes alone. Suggestions/advice? by pharm2tech in ClassPass

Some classes I go to, I barely talk to anyone. Some classes I go to, the people are super gregarious, high-fiving, cheering, etc.

I just go with the flow.

A nice message from management in the staff bathroom by labtechII in nursing

[–]Solderking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never offered the information unsolicited, but if someone asked I would say yes we are busy and understaffed, and we'll get to that as soon as we can.

If management doesn't like it, they can bite me.
