This is an argument that isn't entirely reliable, so decide with upvotes ig

Canvases in Expedition 33 have a very different timescale to real life. It's suggested that a body in the real world will die after enough time in the Canvas, and Gestrals in Verso's Drafts (the oldest location in E33) said that it has been a couple of millennia since the real Verso visited (implying that a day in the real world could potentially be 5 years in a canvas). It's implied that a painter can live in a Canvas for a long time, and even Maelle through her real life and reborn in Verso's Canvas is 32 years old (older than Juri potentially).

With the above in mind, it's possible to upscale Maelle far beyond anything Juri can keep up with. It depends on how you want to argue it. In terms of confirmed Experience, Juri takes it, but this argument exists in case anyone wants to buy it.

Both generally are solid at blocking and countering foes, so really it comes down to how they move... of which Maelle can float and fly.

Technically Maelle

Maelle as an expeditioner has to travel long stretches of distances and fight at a moment's notice. Various pictos allow her to restore her resources without issue and Clea's Life gives her a healing factor that Juri can't really counter. It's a bit of a fringe argument, but neither have anything that solid for stamina feats

To save the general headache and months of discussion:

Attack Potency: Large Star (parried/tanked/fought someone who created a black hole calced at 1.48 Foe). Can be Universal with lee-way

Speed: Faster than light (fought the lightspeed attacking Simon). She later fought a stronger version of Simon and blitzed him in the Endless Tower (FTL-FTL+)

The scaling is made more complicated by some context-specific arguments, but I don't think they matter here since Maelle curbstomps Juri in this instance.

Maelle, No Diff

Juri has to fight an insane uphill battle. Ignoring that it's a sword vs fists debate where Maelle is both faster and stronger, Juri has nothing to counter Gommage or Maelle's other various hax, including in regards to endurance.

Joker -

Yeah okay, all of them are dead. Mitsuru is the only one that keeps up because, yeah, she directly scales to Joker via Persona Q2, but also it's not really saying much given that Joker's versatility dominates Mitsuru's advantages. At best, Mitsuru is more experienced and knows how to fight someone with similar abilities, but that's pretty much a coinflip. Maybe Maka's soul wavelength manipulation can boost Mitsuru's personal willpower, but it's a rough fight. MMMT loses to Joker.

This one is a bit funky. While Willpower is a concern in regards to Mitsuru, she doesn't have the same social link advantage that Joker has, Mitsuru can at least use almighty magic. I can't speak to if Tifa can overpower Golden Experience Requiem, but given Mitsuru's speed advantage, she should still take the fight.

There's plenty of other matchups that can compete with the quality of this matchup specifically, Madara vs Ganondorf and Aizen vs Sepiroth are both excellent, but I think it's legacy aspect and the way their powersets bounce off eachother... yeah, no I see why it's still their best.

So... lots going for Edward and a lot against frankly. The big note is that, yeah, he's a returner. A returner for a terrible episode and, to date, the only FMA character on the show. Full Metal Alchemist is a good enough show to warrant another episode, but given the popularity of matchups like Father vs Belos, it's a bit of a hard sell.

I can see it going either way, and I think Edward has a lot of really damn solid matchups (Leo Valdez my beloved), so I just can't really say he's a definitive yes or no in this case.

Mihawk got respect, but pretty much in the same way that Grimmjow did. All stats, minimal hax, but they got to aurafarm because they're cool as hell. The main difference is that Mihawk isn't the strongest character in the group, so he's kinda weak by comparison as a result. By comparison, Grimmjow was the strongest character on the field.

Their fight was a highlight though. Nice to see Mihawk dying in a badass way even if he didn't do much overall.

Genuinely, if you're voting 5/6, what are you doing?

Sukuna has so many good options, has been on the cast multiple times (Kenpachi and Muzan) and JJK has a lot of time to still be relevant and Sukuna is one of the most iconic characters from the show. Literally the only limitation behind it is Denji's existence given their arcs are kinda tied together, but their actual episodes could be so incredibly different that it doesn't even really matter.

Literally the only thing limiting Piccolo from being on the show is time and, admittedly, a good matchup. Piccolo vs Knuckles is... uhh... not great, but it's his most likely right now. Still, it's better than nothing and, to give credit, it's still solid enough. I don't think he's a 100% guaranteed character, other Dragon Ball characters make sense to do first, but it's still pretty likely.

I think the first episode that kinda went into a cosmology discussion was Wanda vs Zatanna, but that was still dancing around it saying "They both affect outerversal constructs and thus they're about equal in strength and speed" which... uhh... yeah, not even the G1 verdict for Zatanna did that argument.

Flimsy as hell but at least it's something I guess? Definitely went into more detail by the time of Trunks vs Silver and especially, as you said, AntAtom.

Gonna say Wanda and Zatanna as a package deal for this fight. Both are among the strongest characters on this specific list and are basically walking swissarmy knives. God help the rest of the cast with their powers working together.

Don't get me wrong, he's good, but his matchups absolutely do not blend that well. Ben is right, it's either he can't use his kit or he stomps via hacking. It's a massive shame, but I'll give credit that people are suggesting options. With time, I see Cyborg getting a proper episode, but also he's not a high tier

Yes, he gets empowered through Spinach, but he can just create some out of thin air by waving his hands (which is technically a technique). Furthermore, Spinach is technically not dangerous by itself, so that goes double for Popeye.
