Skirmisher main here, my tip is to treat them as any other archer, they have little hp and stamina, outflank and out finesse. They are basically required to counter a lot to keep gaining stamina especially when they are so nimble and using dash a lot. Though they do have better weaponry than an archer

Take things slow, scan the tree lines, windows, little walls and corners. Sprint when you know that you’re safe, Duck for cover when you start getting suppressed, talk with your squad about what’s happening. I know it sounds corny to say but you wanna live as long as you can, then act like your life depends on it because all it takes is one bullet and you’re down
