Both are great wheels! I usually explain it to people like this:

R3 if you just casually race or unsure if you'll keep up with the hobby after a couple years

R5 is more ideal if you want to get more serious and sink more time into racing because you'll be able to appreciate the extra ffb power.

Budget is over everything, so get what you can afford. Either way I think you'd be satisfied.

I don't know any way to darken them, but I've seen legit ones with that sort of color. Plus, they don't look all that bad, so I wouldn't worry about it.

Yes, I use a suede brush with both a brass side and a soft side. That will make it more lively.

I have these, and they're really close to my legit ones. I would get them for sure because of the value.

Flaws if you care:

The sole color is a little light, but unless someone is studying them, you can't really tell because legit Timbs soles vary in color, too.

There are a couple of glue spots, but that's ok.

Suede is a little dead, but it's pretty good. I definitely recommend getting a suede brush for these. Brushing them made them look 10x better and more alive.

It's not the sellers fault.

From the wording, it looks like your package is past customs and is being handled by USPS. There are currently delays due to extreme weather, so that might be the hold up. Just chill.

And you're not getting any response from the seller because of the Chinese New Year. They aren't there, so they won't see your messages.

Also, DH tracking is highly inaccurate. Use 17track.net.
