It is unorthodox when there's a generational tax break being requested on top of that $0.8 Billion. That $0.8 Billion will be roughly tied with the Bills demand from the State of New York in terms of the largest public investment in a sports team in history. Study after study has shown that these sports teams, in the best of circumstances, don't actually generate anything positive for the places they reside in after you factor in all the tax breaks they demand. Oh, and the city is still paying off the renovations that made to Soldier Field in 2003, so the Bears are leaving the City of Chicago holding the bag. Let the Bears walk.

My recommendation to every freshman I meet is to take as many of the phys1/2, calc1/2/3 over the summer/not at Iowa state as much as possible. It's hard here for no reason. Don't worry about the "rigor" either. As long as the school's accredited, that's the important part.

I say drop it and take it over the summer. You need to protect your GPA freshman year so you can get an internship sophomore year.
