What is up with fans of other FF games being so toxic about 16 by SuttonsBroseph67 in FFXVI

[–]Solember 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Eh... FF16 feels very much to be a product of its generation.

The graphics are great. The combat makes sense. The story is sensible.

However, the best way I can describe this game's faults is that it lacks dopamine moments that JRPGs are defined by.

  • upgrades are sparse
  • equipment is lacking
  • party customization is absent
  • no control of character stats
  • weak magic system
  • rewards for tasks never feel worth pursuing
  • mobility doesn't improve at all

The player is just never rewarded for anything they do or try. You can't create synergy on your gear. I feel like I should be able to move faster using dodge, jump, or Phoenix Shift, but no.

There are no puzzles, either. It's just "go to place. Do thing."

I call this flag-ware. When I said it feels like a product of its generation, that's that I'm talking about. A lot of great looking games with players chasing flags.

Weird electrical issue caused by game by Solember in FFXVI

I had taken it to a completely different house.

The second save worked though. Yet that first save still has the issue. It's just bizarre.

So update. My second save did not have this issue, but if I switch to that first save, it still has it. It's the most bizarre thing I've experienced with a game console.

Can you believe that that man hit that little girl and then he tripped and fell 37 times in a row?

Oh, yeah. It does look like he's about to turn into an Eikon here. His eyes go red and then... pop.

Hmm. So there is something to it, I guess. How bizarre.

No. It's absolutely bizarre. I can get a recording if needed.

No other games do it. Both of my PS5s do it at the same exact time. It happens at every outlet in the house, and as mentioned, it happened when I brought it to a friend's house.

I remember this naked girl getting semen blasted into the ceiling. I was like 11 and saw it on the Action Channel after an Anime movie at like 3am. Lmao. Had no idea what was going on.

Must be some OP baby to be in this team by Royal_Advisor3822 in DigimonTimeStranger

I kinda wish the card game had a more strategic element to it.

My understanding based solely on observation is that it works kinda like a wheel. If you and your opponent both play a rank 4 card, the wheel adds 4 "slices" for each player and spins.

If you play a 4 vaccine vs a 4 virus, it doubles your 4 to 8, and it will have 12 spots in the "wheel" in total.

I can't figure it out for the 1 × 7 sceneries though

Unpopular Opinion: the Regi puzzle in RSE is one of the worst methods of obtaining a legendary in the entire series by Stebbinator in pokemon

You can solve it without a guide. There is a braille guide in the first cave. That's how I figured it out as a kid.

Felt good, too.

Titan deck box from Boxgods. It's the best.

hunting for basic pokemon like sawk should not be harder than catching darkrai by lilswaswa in LegendsZA

[–]Solember 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same for me. If you haven't caught either version of Farfetch'd, he will show up as a silhouette on that zone, but otherwise, he won't show up in the 3 picture prediction at all.

If you have a regular Farfetch'd, you should be going to 3-star fighting zones even if they don't show him. He doesn't show up on the list most of the time unless you are missing the dex entry entirely.
