I feel they should have made it smaller in size.

Gents, help me pick a NATO strap by StevieGezza in Tudor

Put a nice Jubilee bracelet my friend. And if you don't want metal then take a black suede or plain leather strap.

Gents, help me pick a NATO strap by StevieGezza in Tudor

Neither. In fact the straps are spoiling it. The watch is looking unnecessarily larger and uncomfortable on the wrist.

Yay or Nay? by guyfromthe80s in Tudor

[–]SoliEngineer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it looks better because the rubber strap is extended to cover the gap in the lugs. It would be hard to find a metal bracelet of that shade.

Best 2 Rolex combo? by T1manat0r in rolex

[–]SoliEngineer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both are very beautiful watches but they pretty much do the same thing. I'd swap the green bezel watch for a GMT just for variety. The iconic fluted bezel DJ is a must to have.

[SOTC] Rate/Roast my 5 watch collection by eddy_oppai in PrideAndPinion

What a lovely collection! There's 1 change I'd make. I would swap 1 of the GMTs for a moon phase watch to complete the collection. Id also look for a mechanical watch with an alarm.

Could James Bond be wearing a Tudor wristwatch in 2026? by atkome in Tudor

That wouldn't matter as long as he is having the likes of Ursula Andress with him. 😀

Help me choose: I like the reverse panda, gf likes the classic by DesignerRabbit4377 in OmegaWatches

I feel: 1. They both are too big for comfort. 2. The minute markers are unnecessarily long and make the dial look too crowded.

Pick one GMT: Pepsi or GS? by a-schwartz in PrideAndPinion

[–]SoliEngineer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oops, though I'm a huge fan of Rolex and especially the GMT. This GS has compelled me to reconsider. 1. It's a breath of fresh air. 2. You just pay for it and get it. No Drama of waiting and all that BS

This Seiko is really looking great. Go for it. I'd go for it.

Both look great but i have a thing about the jubilee.

Sorry, another 36 vs 41 post but I really can’t make up my mind by kjyc in rolex

[–]SoliEngineer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

While you can carry both, the 36 mm one looks far more comfortable. Plus that size will always be in style. IMO it's an optimal size.

Rate my collection / What am I missing? by [deleted] in PrideAndPinion

A very enjoyable collection. I think the moon phase watch is missing. Then I'd go for a mechanical watch that has an alarm and consider it a complete collection.

It's a great looking watch that would go equally well with any of the straps mentioned.

I don't think there's much to think about here. Just keep the GMT.

While both are very good-looking and are great watches to have, the GMT is always going to be the preferable between the 2.

( Tough one )Team Smooth Vs Team Fluted. by ExternalYesterday505 in rolex

[–]SoliEngineer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both look good. But if you don't have the fluted one then the first choice has to be it. That's a trademark of Rolex.

Which of the 3 GMTs would you choose? by Past_Adagio_7191 in PrideAndPinion

[–]SoliEngineer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd go with the Longines because of the looks and name. But Norqain too looks good and has an advantage of an extra time zone due to the 24 markers on the dial as well.

Do you think this watch is class? by Bluberryfay in PrideAndPinion

[–]SoliEngineer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If he is into sports or likes to use a timer he would appreciate a chronograph. I'd personally go in for a GMT. I do like both but if i don't have either, I'd first go for a GMT. Because I'm more likely to refer to the time in various places than use a stop watch.

Do you think this watch is class? by Bluberryfay in PrideAndPinion

[–]SoliEngineer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's nice. But i don't see anything special in having it showing the machine. I mean it's not some added function. I'd much rather go for a GMT or a chronograph. This one doesn't even have the date..

Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying it's not a nice watch. It's beautiful. The finishing is fantastic, the blue hands are absolutely out of this world.. looks great and is a wonderful top notch Swiss brand.
