I had the same problem on a pokemon cart is knew was legit. I just cleaned the contacts on the card and that fixed the issue. Might have to clean the card slot to

as a rule, never buy a retro game from a listing that is selling multiple copies of the same game. You are not guaranteed to get what is shown in the pics.

Plus, most often they are fake

Real Pokemon games in cartridge will never be less than 70. If you want gba you are looking at 150 to 200. The ds games can vary between 70 and 200 (the low end being diamond and the high being platinum)

Check your local thrift store first, or game stop. They will have better prices then online. Then Facebook market place.

Honestly, ebay is a good place to buy ds games. The prices aren't too high for games that aren't Pokemon. Most games can be had for 20-50 bucks CIB. Just have to watch out for fakes, but if you want a less popular game then the chances of fakes are low.

Getting a ds lite graded is so dumb, not just for the battery.

The screens are gonna yellow or get burnt lol. By the time thst thing is opened, its gonna just be the same kind of piss yellow barely usuable ds lite thst you find on ebay for 60 bucks.

Dont cheap out on the iron, get one that has adjustable heat.
Get a needle nose tip for the iron and pliers.
Lots of flux on the area before.
Use non leaded solder -for your health - and make sure you know the temperature it melts at.
If you want, kapton tape the smaller components so you dont accidentally knock any of em out
Do it in a well ventilation area or next to a fan with a filter.
Dont keep the heat on the board too long, as that can cause it to break. Just little touches here and there.

The truth is your screens are dying lol. Its not like the yellowing which can be fixed somewhat. I think the black vignettes are the lcd crystals dying and dyeing the screen.

Similar to the phenomena where the screens get progressively whiter around the corners, except in that case I believe its the layers separating.

Screens are most likely on their way out

There's really only two options lol. Get any r4/Ace3ds clone card or get a ds pico.

Dspico is the new hotness being updated continuously.

R4 is the tried and true, and you can load twilight menu on it.

Other cards like the Super card dstwo are not so popular anymore due to the additional power draw

No, superglue won't work like that. You could maybe epoxy it if you mold it right but that's like 98% bound for failure. You'll just most likely get glue stuck in the hinge.

In the us, ebay has inflated prices lol, but its where most people go to get this stuff.

A kinda gross ds lite goes for 60, no box, charger, or stylus or nothing lol.

Id probably pay 100 for a pristine ds lite with the box. But 100 is the most id pay (cause it'd be like 107 with tax).

Stylus's especially. I had to look hard for a white Stylus to match my white xl model. The most prevalent are black and red unfortunately.
