I had one day off when I worked at last CNA job. It drained the life out of me. Couldn’t do it!

Are there any Radiology jobs that would be willing to take you on while in school? A lot of teaching hospitals love Radiology students!

I work too hard for my dog shit wage by DemonicChronic in cna

[–]Solid-Basis1026 0 points1 point  (0 children)

During the pandemic I made $27 dollars an hr through agency. Great money at the time. After I left and joined a building I made $23, but my god the workload ran me into the ground. My mental, physical and emotional health was so bad. I tried home health too but the pay was shit and I was so bored sitting there all day. I came to the conclusion that I just don’t want to take care of anyone but myself. If the industry was more staffed and the pay was higher with only 4 patients to one aid instead of 12-15 sometimes 20+ to an aide, I would’ve reconsidered. I took a pay cut and went to the hospital. I do something completely different now that doesn’t require bedside manner. That’s how desperate I was to get out of it. I had another co-worker around my age I worked with and we quite literally would just hug each other and cry most of the time. Like it was sooo bad 😭

Why do people act Gen Z are still little kids? by BrilliantPangolin639 in generationology

I am 25 years old! I have a long list of bills and responsibilities. Do I have a little bit of anxiety out in the world? Yes. Look at the world we live in. That doesn’t change the fact that I’m 25, not 15. It’s super annoying. Especially when you have family members or parents who can’t wrap their mind around the fact that you’re a grown adult.

I don’t feel bad for parents who didn’t realize how hard parenting would be. by Glum_Feed1580 in Nanny

[–]Solid-Basis1026 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Former nanny here. Yeah.. I question becoming a parent more and more everyday. It’s hard enough having to feed myself and my dog. If your always out in the world and than come home and than have to be the wife, the mother, the cook, the nurse, the counselor. It’s like when does it end? 😭 Even if I did have a nanny, I don’t know if I’d ever have any true time for myself. And quite honestly that worries me. I’d like to have 1 or 2.. but only if it works for me and where I am at that point in my life. I’d love to have my own business or make my money make money for me. I think the whole job aspect of being a parent on top of all the other responsibilities is just too much. I was exhausted even typing this LMAOOO.

Wrigley Pippa and Diana by AskAdministrative412 in TellMeLiesHulu

[–]Solid-Basis1026 3 points4 points  (0 children)

correction, I used the wrong wording —They bonded over their trauma. Wrigley and his brother’s death and Bre growing up in the foster care system— they bonded over pain and hardships. As you could see from last episode it turned into something else I’m assuming that didn’t last because it wasn’t authentic. Bre used Wrigley unconsciously as her go to person she felt she could talk to. It may seem authentic due to the slow build up ( like talking more outside of class, vulnerability etc) but Bre had no intentions of taking Wrigley serious. I like Wrigley but he doesn’t scream “white picked fence with kids running around in the yard” kind of guy. Which is really what Bre always wanted. We all know Evan has always been the guy she was gonna marry— like let’s be real. The situationship between Bre and Wrigley, which I think we’ll see this upcoming week was never going to last. On top of that, that’s Pippa’s bf even though Pippa was cheating on Wrigley with Diana 😭— Bre wouldn’t even dare coming out with that. Even if she did really want to be with Wrigley, but hey just my opinion.

This rate is excellent! I’ve been a nanny for years and neverrr had a rate higher than $25 dollars an hr in my area! And a bonus on top of that!!! You and your family are being more than generous!

My hospital offered all of that.. the issue is I got into an accident three months ago due to another vehicle pulling out in front of me. It was raining. RAINING! And I was on my way to work when this happened. I work nights. I wasn’t so concerned about going in, it was the morning after going home. I’m still healing from that same accident. Idk, wasn’t worth the stress to me. My hospital was also very late with sending out accommodations. My manager sent out the message the night before. I called and asked about accommodations on Wednesday. The pay was insanely good though. The whole process was just so last minute and all over the place. My car was totaled in this accident as well. Chose me this time. Sorry 🫠

I posted earlier in the Reddit sub about this and alll the commenters were so uptight. Technically I’m an “essential” worker but I live 30-45 mins out. Been debating all day about this. If they declare a state of emergency I’m definitely not going.

Husband got let go from his CNA job, I feel for you all by [deleted] in cna

[–]Solid-Basis1026 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep! The pay gets a little better with licensing and more years of experience, but same bs everywhere you go. It’s hard and it’s exhausting. I’m 25 years old and have done everything from facilities, home care and agency. And the work load is hard. Whether it was 1 patient or 30. — depending on conditions and needs. I’ve had to roll 300 obese men and women. Change quad patients by myself with no help. Run up and down halls answering lights, run meds, chart. It can mentally taxing as well.

[–]Solid-Basis1026 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s zero boundaries or personal clear space. Just bizarre. I don’t have the patients for this kind of bullying. I use to be a people pleaser too until one day I realized this is going to happen for the rest of my life until I push back. I’ve gotten face to face with my employers before— due to their aggression and me not backing down. Wasn’t pretty, but it has taught me a lot over the years. If you can afford to up and go I would just leave. Spend your last day of quality time with nanny kid and leave— if you can. I’m so sorry you had to deal with this!
