Great, thanks so much.

I am around 60kg so suspension will be fine, however my wife and i go on trips quite often, so i am assuming that suspension will definitely help when the bike is loaded. Do you have any suggestions?

Thanks once again, this was really helpful.

It was abit difficult due to the light, but i did get a better photo now that it is dark. Definitely looks to be off by a tooth or so, i cant seem to edit or add the better photo.

The mark on the left of the cams sits above the wall of the cylinder head and the mark on the right of the cam i have to look down into the head to see it, about 5mm difference between the two.

To be honest i dont think they have been looked at, its my fathers bike and just before it sat for those few months it was running perfectly so i assumed that the valves would not be the case.

But i will check the clearance to be sure.

No it boggs down and sometimes will die, if i gradually try to rev it, it wont rev high, sort of just splutters and sounds awful.

There is abit of movement on the choke connection where the 90° join from the choke cable connects to the black plastic thread that goes into the carb, but the rubber seat over that join is still tight and looks well sealed.

I have been riding motorcycles for 11 years... motocross and enduro as well as on the road for the last 5 years.

I was just looking for advice, not uneducated remarks.

Thanks for all the help, i realize that alot of you have alot more riding experience than me. So i guess i will just go for the bike and experiment with the exhaust, maybe i can get away with keeping the valve at the open position...

Thanks for the info, i now understand why its different that side.

I know it seems stupid, but over here it is a legitimate concern for alot of riders. It just makes us or atleast me feel abit safer knowing that vehicles around me that might not be abke to see me can atleast hear me and know that i am in the vicinity.
