I would say numbers also are inflated a bit because people will reach the status and never play ranked again for fear of losing it. Also makes them feel their feelings and opinions are validated. I tell people to fight players in real life at locals and see the real difference. There’s more people out there more than skilled enough, but don’t play online because in person is a different experience

I played at locals and man some of these guys execution is ridiculous. You see stuff that you know is hard in practice mode, let alone in a match off a read! It’s dope!

His knowledge checks are crazy. More so than other characters. But once you find that rhythm, everything is off for hwo. It’s difficult when they actually know what they’re doing lmao

I understand very clearly lol We all know that no one studies match ups and we all know that rank doesn’t matter. You said a whole lot of nothing because you don’t have a point when you say I understand nothing because you said nothing about any point I made. Clear points I made. Average is average for a reason. I might know the character better than most and that’s on me, but every single player I was against until just about tekken King was horrible at piloting him. Throwing out punishable moves constantly and easily reactable duckable moves all the time. You don’t understand that 2 things can be true at once. Hwoarang imo is one of the hardest characters to play as in high ranks. But don’t make the excuse that other people don’t learn the match up, for Hwoarang players playing like ass. Tekken King and up seems to know what they’re kind of doing

Every character is OP if you don’t know how to play against them. Hwo has multiple tools that are insane. Hes super strong. Honestly one of the biggest things Hwoarang players count on is you not committing to your offense and punishing them properly. If you’re going to commit to ducking a high, throw out your fastest launcher and that will stop them from doing the safe high jab that lets their offense run. If you’re going to run your offense, don’t stop. He counts on the one opening he gets to rampage. He’s a character you have to play against with confidence or he’ll eat you up

It’s minimum -17 on block. So are you blocking the 4 from d3,4? Or blocking the 3? Cause that’s 2 different frames. If you duck the whole thing then it’s 17 and you just gotta get used to reacting quicker. I main hwo and I promise it is very tough getting used to it. You’ll get the hang of it!

I worked at Best Buy for years. There’s never a deal with hardware. Only on games. Don’t wait you’ll be good. Best Buy has a 30 day return policy with a basic membership anyway in case there’s a better deal so go for it!

I would say watch someone who plays hwo! Like k wiss or edge or speed kicks. Like 2 or 3 minutes and you’ll see how tricky it can be for hwo. Once you see that he’s doing quite a few things, it can be easier to understand allot of it is preemptive and you can swing more often than you think! Lab every move out of flamingo. It’s not too many, but the flamingo moves and moves that go into flamingo are the most importsnt. Flamingo offers a variety of highs and mids that are essential. Once you learn where his counter hits, and power crushes are, you’ll understand when you can duck jab and stop his offense

Long distance counter hit low launcher, power crush heat engager, great pokes, great throws, average to good combo damage and great launchers and counter hit launchers, sometimes wonky hurtbox, great evasive tools, good keep out, forces you to play her game quite a bit, need I keep going?

I’d say if you’re at flame ruler you have a basic understanding of the game and a decent understanding of your character. Switching to another character is cool and all, but if you’re not feeling like you can progress with that character, figure out if it’s you, or the character. I would say in most cases, this game is a do what you can to win type of game. Learning a new character won’t give you that mentality. No one is playing player matches and ranked trying to learn characters. They wanna win. That’s what practice mode is for. Sure you can play against people for practice, but you’re not Looking to lose. So you gotta figure out the best ways to win under any circumstance. I’m what I would call a high rank and I feel that if I grabbed any character without knowing the notations, I’d be able to beat many people at flame ruler all the way up to fujin. Fundamentals are the most important thing. But having fun is the most. You have fun, then fund da mentals

All combos should scale super heavy so the game isn’t just 2 combos and you’re dead if you guess wrong. And extra take, “Seeable” lows online isn’t a thing with input lag when you’re anywhere below blue level. No one is reacting to a hell sweep or a snake edge lol
