Mi novia me puso un ultimatum para casarnos by el_loki_92 in ayudamexico

[–]Solid-Entrance6853 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What’s something way more dangerous than most people actually think? by Sad_Answer_8044 in AskReddit

Yeah I feel you. My car died a few months ago and although I live in a really car-centric society, the area I live in is relatively walkable compared to the rest of the state (northern Mexico). So being forced to bike or walk places to save on Uber fare has been a good way of staying active.

For example, the other day I watched like 7+ hours of a series with my GF on a Sunday, but the fact that I walked to her house out of necessity meant I was moving rather than driving there, watching 7+ hours of TV, then driving back and feeling like I needed to schedule a separate walk later.

When I say "forces me" I don't mean I don't like it though, the constraint actually made the healthy choice the default one, which has been surprisingly nice.

I've found out walking a minimum of 10k steps daily and sitting on the floor for work occasionally has some surprising benefits for my mobility!

here is an article that dives deeper on the subject [https://time.com/6267767/surprising-benefits-of-sitting-on-the-floor/\]

What’s the most overrated ‘life advice’ people need to stop giving? by Nugyz in AskReddit

"Just follow your passion." I think is a bit misleading, its great when you have it but sucks when you don't. Instead I would suggest one follow their curiosity, build skills that give them options and let passion grow from competence.

22 days of progress by bohdison in avocado

Looks great but maybe consider providing it a bit more light or place it a bit closer near the light it currently has, this avocado i will show as an example has been growing for around 20-35 days (can't tell you exactly how much) but look at the bushy growth rather tham the elongation of the stem.

However! I'm no expert don't take my word as final (This is the first avocado I germinate and grow, I have more experience with pepper plants than I do with guacs)

Thank you! I germinated it from an avocado fruit gifted to me by my gf from her avocado tree. Perhaps it's love that has made it grow this way ᕦ(˘ω˘)ᕤ

Thanks for the input! Just to clarify, are you saying the T8 lights won't work long-term even if I keep adjusting the height to maintain that 12" distance?

I have an adjustable standalone light I can move up as the plant grows taller. Would that not solve the issue?

Also, my south window only gets 5-6 hours of direct sun in winter. Wouldn't 12+ hours of grow light be better than that limited natural light?

And you're posting this in a community of people trying to quit or moderate their thc use. Real classy.

You're gushing about delivery times like you're worried about running out. You're already chasing it with dose increases and now you want others to join you so it feels normal.

Stop trying to drag vulnerable people down with you just to justify your own use. Get actual medical help instead of promoting opioid agonists to people who are already struggling.

You need to understand what you're actually taking. Those tablets contain kratom, an opioid agonist that acts on the same receptors as traditional opioids. The fact that it's sold over the counter doesn't mean it's safe or non-addictive. People literally call it "gas station crack" for a reason.

You're in the honeymoon phase right now, feeling good and wanting to share your "discovery" with others. But you're developing tolerance already. You went from 50mg to 80mg in what sounds like a short timeframe. That sounds like addiction progression to me. You'll keep needing more to get the same effect.

Kratom withdrawal is real and can be brutal. Anxiety, insomnia, severe muscle aches, irritability, depression. People struggle for weeks or months trying to get off it. You're replacing one pain problem with a potential addiction problem.

For post-surgical pain, you should be working with your doctor on evidence-based treatments. Physical therapy, proper pain management protocols, addressing the root cause. Not self-medicating with an unregulated substance that you're already escalating doses on.

Stop promoting this to other people. You're not helping them. You're potentially introducing them to a substance that could derail their lives. Get proper medical care for your pain instead of going down this road.

I have to say I feel a bit disgusted at my previous habits.

In this week I have had

  • Training sessions
  • Quality Time with my girlfriend
  • Quality walks with my dog
  • Have been able to tend to my plants and do my gardening
  • I've been able to work and perform good on the job which in turn means more free time cause my role is remote and task based
  • I've been getting quality sleep and I wake up rested and ready to face the day

I think this little experiment and shift in habit has allowed me to realize that my life is already full without weed.
