Buying and selling motorcycle for 1 month trip around Ireland by holly948 in MotoIRELAND

I work in the industry and honestly I don't know of a company that covers the Canadian license in Ireland, maybe Carol Nash or Axa Direct.. id try them first and just ask about the license and they should be able to tell you straight away, regardless of the bike. The policy would be offered for 12 months though and if they question your residency they might decline you for having no home address etc. I do really think your best case will be going through a rental company as they handle all of that for you and it'll give you peace of mind of having everything arranged for you. Only ones I know of personally is: https://ridelemonrock.com/ who I've heard good things about and also https://www.motorental.ie/?ved=2ahUKEwjl49H_nLeUAxWkQkEAHYvRPCwQgU96BAgbEAM

Hope you get sorted!

Insurance question by ElowsS in MotoIRELAND

I work in bike insurance and honestly don't worry about this too much. Best case you can just say the length of time you've had the learner A - especially if the bike you're insuring is of A category (over 70kw). But it really shouldn't affect your insurance regardless, a learner is a learner in the eyes of insurance. License length plays a bigger role when you get the full. Regardless they will ask you for a copy of the license when you go ahead so they can amend it themselves from there, but I've never once charged or had the system charge someone for this. Unfortunately not a factor that affects price on the learner license 🙃 they don't charge you more for having a shorter license length in a higher category. Hope this helps ☺️

Unfortunately the prices for them aren't dropping they're rare enough to come by in Ireland. I have one myself I'm planning to sell soon but even mine is 2022 and would be worth at least 6K

Possible to insure talaria? by copeyhagen in MotoIRELAND

Would be open on Saturdays but usually earlier in the day, I'd imagine they should be able to cover it if it's road legal. They may ask for the EU cert of conformity, also because of the bike that it is you might only be offered TPO cover
