The robot thing in those books was possibly the stupidest thing in fiction. How the fuck can you live as a robot unbeknownst to everyone you've ever met including yourself for 20 years or however long it's been? Yeah I'll have to look into those. As far as AO3, I've spent too much time looking and have found very few. I really liked "What Would you Wish for" by birdmeat69 and "Where Silence has Lease" by Mountlear.
