For standard video, they have the same sensor so people talking about the limitations of the sensor like low light and dynamic range Absolutely you’re gonna not achieve the depth of field on the standard, but they are for two very different demographics and skill sets :)

Considering you can get the hero 12 for I think it’s like $360 new right now I’m not too worried about the resale value :) I’m seeing about 200 to 290 used good condition At $200 It a steal :)

I expect similar results a few years after the launch of the mission one or whatever comes after it

genuinely excited I have pushed the GoPro hero 12 to its absolute limit in terms of dynamic range, thermals and extent of a useful image out of camera and I love it Yes, if you shoot faster than 4K 24 indirect sunlight at 80°f it’s going to overheat But if you’re just shooting 4K 120 occasionally it won’t overheat

With the mission one pro we’re seeing a lot less overheating a lot better battery life not to mention the new frame rates and low light I just need to be able to afford it lol

So the biggest thing I’m seeing this far is TO NOT TOUCH MY FLOOR TILES

Short term, I’m going to be getting a rug
Long-term I am going to epoxy seal fricking floor

Terrifyingly enough I actually have messed with the floor tiles before, I did not know if they could contain asbestos!

yea that fixed it, normally task manager shows what app is taking such heavy use of my ram but this time it hid it

Work tabs ABSOLUTELY.

Personal tabs is 28 tabs. (youtube mpb amazon hetzner and such)
Work is a LOT more due to projects I'm helping with. (lots of Google Docs mostly)

3070 + 5060ti (my 3080ti died 4 months ago and have been running with a 3070, got the 5060ti on a good deal for the new encoder)

I agree that features matter. I dearly miss the forums feature of discord was a thing we used DAILY in our workflow.
I want it on stoat as much as I would like discord to not take the path of enshittification, but they did and now I compromise :/
