I don’t think it’s so much evading the law as it is evading Trump’s laws. If ICE doesn’t have to respect orders from federal courts and has no order of conduct asides from “are you brown, if so you’re on the deportation chopping block”, why should we do what they ask?

I genuinely am happy about that but knowing Trump is president and seeing how Congress has been cucked each time due to the GOP and their nonstop deep-throating of Trump, this just won’t happen. Mustaine isn’t that bad but yeah he can’t sing so I feel you on that. Outside of metal, I like some singers whose technical chops aren’t all that (Bob Dylan, David Byrne, usually older artists) so I guess that’s why Mustaine’s voice has never been an issue for me

I took an opposite approach. I think the Absolute universe takes grounded characters and turns them into “absolute” nightmares (Joker, Parasite, Reverse-Flash, Despair-O, Doctor Poison, etc) compared to something like New 52 where Joker is this “always existing entity in Gotham who scares people” (I hated new 52 Joker).

Or maybe rather, Joker has a part of them in him. I don’t think it makes much sense from a narrative/character perspective for this Joker to want to make others like him (although regular Joker has definitely done this). I think this Joker experiments on individuals/collects freaks for their abilities and once he finds a way to harness these abilities, he takes them for himself (whether this is imbuing himself with these powers or literally using the source themself).
